The twisted sleeve saga continues
Good luck! Do you know which option yet, or is it dependent upon what they see when they get in there?
BTW, stomach torsion is a risk of VSG I learned about after my surgery. I was told about it early last summer when I visited my bariatric center with a friend who was going for her initial information seminar. It's now part of the sleeve info they give to new comers. I believe the rate was something like .015% of patients in my center's history. Of course, like in dogs and horses it can happen to anyone, but the risk is apparently slightly higher for those of us with VSG. Totally sucks that it's happened to you, though it sounds like you've escaped a full blown case of torsion - thank goodness!
Please let us know how it goes for you and what your outcome is.
We are hoping for the resleeve with a 32, tight oversewn bougie, he told me that when the sleeve first became routine, they always left about an inch of the fundus near the esophagus to prevent GERD, but now the procedure has changed a bit from 5 yrs ago. So I guess I am getting the newer model, Cirangle style and I am happy about it!
Hang in there girl. You are young, strong and brave. You'll do great because you have to! Good thoughts being sent your way.
Hear the good and leave the rest. Glad you are able to share here. You have many friends. Hugs :)

Hey Heather I've always admired your posts and determination. I was wondering how your surgery went. When you feel up to it, let us know. Best wishes and hope you feel okay :-). I have heard of other people having this complication, by the way. I knew a guy on another forum who had the hourglass issue further out and he also had to be resleeved at about 4-5 years out. They also used a smaller bougie the second time around.
