Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Monday, January 13, 2014
Happy Monday!
Sunny and Warm(er) here in the Twin Cities today. We were above freezing over the weekend and even melted some snow, which was a welcome respite.
We had our big company holiday party at our house Saturday night, and I can report despite some grazing, I kept it pretty well under control and today I'm at 185.0, which is right where I left off before the weekend, I think.
I ended up with some nice healthy leftovers (Mediteranean chicken and grilled flank steak) so I'm nicely set up for the week for protein.
Have a great week!
Tom

Congrats on the successful party Tom!
101.6 lbs today. That's right smack in the middle of my range (100-103) so that's good.
Have a good one, all!

148.6- heading down, but more importantly, got up this morning and hit the treadmill. Mentally in a much better, stronger place today. Thanks, all, for the encouragement and good will. It is appreciated. Bonnie

After hanging around 113 for a few weeks, I'm all the way up to 116.2. A bit surprised, but this is not a bad thing for me. I actually think I have a little carb bloat going on, so probably a true weight of about 115. Perfect.

Hi Everyone,
I have been lurking here for quite a while. On a side note, Spencerella, I am also in Calgary. Anyway, I have started to get things under control...........I have been as close as 3 lbs. from goal. My ticker is currently wrong as I can't figure out how to change it now (can someone help me out there?) I am 16.6 lbs from goal right now. I was doing okay, just going along at 168 something. Then I had a tummy tuck, and despite the surgeon cutting out 8 lbs of tissue, I gained 5 lbs. The tummy tuck is almost 4 months ago, so I don't think it fluid. Then Christmas came along, and I gained 5 lbs during that season. I have gotten 2 lbs off so far, and plan to at least get down to my post-op (tummy tuck) weight of 173.8 before I stop cutting waaaaaay back. I am eating a lot of protein, and very few carbs, but you know, my biggest problem seems to be sugar. Sugar is in things you would never think its in. On My Fitness Pal, my sugar is too high on a daily basis. I do eat fruit, and greek yogurt (plain) with a bit of granola, but I'm not sure how to get the sugar down. I am a vegetarian, and on top of that, a VERY picky eater.
Any suggestions as to how to get down again would be welcome. I am only able to walk where exercise is concerned as I have multiple problems in my upper body that prevent me from exercising if I need to use any part of it. I am working with a chronic pain clinic to try to change that, but it is a looooong road ahead.
Have a great day all. It is snowing in Calgary, so if the sun is shining where you are, send some my way please?
Welcome Jane. It's nice to know there are a few of us out here in this neck of the woods :) To change your ticker, go to the 'MY OH' Tab at the top of the page and select 'HEALTH TRACKER' Weight update can be done there.
