That's how I got into trouble too. It frightens me because I think I was 'dependent' on the extra calories. I really don't want to go there again, so am avoiding exercise at that level. I think you've handled it better than most so I trust that you will find your way and I will learn from you.

Saw my surgeon today, which happens to be exactly 18 months form the day I first walked into his office for my consult.  He is so happy with my progress.  The ladies in the office love my new hair.  Not a bad day ...

... until I got to our rental house and saw that the former tenant apparently entered illegally through a window since the lockout -- probably yesterday -- and took more stuff out.  I called the police  Yes, our former tenants are vindictive, nasty AND stupid. 

There was an icicle hanging down from one of the faucets.  One of the officers pointed that out to me.  Indoor temp was 30 degrees.  One of the officers commented on how it was warmer outside than it was inside my house.  :(

At least the power is back on.  This weekend my husband will attempt to restore heat and find out if anything burst inside the walls. 

Ugh. Stories like this are what keeps me from ever being a landlord.  My heart goes out to you.

We had to move to a handicap-accessible house when we took my fil in for what turned out to be his last year.  This is that previous house that we couldn't sell sell w/o taking a huge loss because the market had/has tanked so badly.  My husband wasn't willing to do that.  Now that we're taking a pretty big hit, between lost revenue and repair costs (hopefully not including ripping out walls and replacing burst pipes), maybe he'll see it as I do -- IT'S NOT WORTH IT. 

If these creeps get nailed for burglary, that will be some small satisfaction.
