164.6 again. Feeling better, so will get on the bike today. Not up to the Wii Zumba 2 -- too headachey and sinusey, and fighting the urge to take an Advil or two.
Talking myself into the concept that it's o k a y to stop using almond milk and go back to 1% milk for protein drinks and coffee since I've had to increase my calories anyway and since my carbs have remained pretty low (aside from two days of stupid eating) in maintenance. I haven't consumed 1% milk since about a year ago. This struggle ... what a difference a sleeve and a big weight loss and genuine accountability makes.
Hope you all are having a great day or find it at least to be within tolerances. :)
Hope you continue to feel better! It's crazy to me reading in this forum how each of us has found their individual way to success--just goes to show how important it is to listen and learn about one's own body. I never did the almond milk thing- in fact, stayed full fat with the milk (coffee and tea), cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, sour cream, etc... weird, huh? For me the discipline necessary was in portion control (thank you, sleeve) and eliminating the refined carbs and sugars. Do you like the almond milk? If you do, seems to me ok to continue using it! I'm sort of that way with the protein shakes. Made up a great mocha-coffee one that I enjoy for breakfasts--so what if it is "weight loss" mode- great protein and tastes great. Good luck with your continuing education in maintenance! We can do this!

I don't know if I like it per se, as I've never had it outside of protein drinks or coffee. My budget would be happier without it, for sure, and I'm already buying the 1% milk for the kids and for cooking.
Yes, it's so interesting to see how different people are handling WL and maintenance. I'm having to talk myself into another little truth these days as well: full fat in moderation is NOT my enemy as long as it fits into my daily plan. I ate chicken Kiev on Christmas and on New Years and felt like a criminal. LOL However, on both occasions it was planned for, it was in a sleeve-friendly portion, and I didn't crave it afterward, so it's okay. ::exhales::
Yes, we can do this! Thanks as always for your support!

99.4 lbs today. Amazing, considering I've been on vaca for eight full days! Dense protein seems to really be the key for me. I had a lot of grilled fish and steak (and steak and eggs - yum!) and absolutely no artificial proteins (like shakes or bars). I occasionally had desserts, and they were divine and well worth it :-)
I was so sure I'd come back heavier, but I'll take this any day even though it's likely to be a fluke :-) Anything under 100 lbs crosses a red line for me, but I'm sure I'll be back to normal once my regular workaday routine starts again.
I'm really glad the holidays are over. Have a good one, all!
