I think I have successfully broken myself of the "need" to have food at a movie. I seem to do fine with a big bottle of water. WOOT!
Today or tomorrow I am signing us up for a Lifetime Fitness. It was something that I started to work on around Thanksgiving, but that's also when my life exploded. We are all feeling that with all of the things going on in our lives, we need a place outside of the house where we can just go and be active. In the summer we have bikes and pools and beautiful walks. In the winter we don't do a lot because we never have the time to go to the mountains and skiing is an entire weekend activity. Now that things are ever so slightly calmer *knocks on wood - turns 3 times - spits* I'm hoping we can add in a trip to Lifetime a couple of times a week. They have a kickboxing class I want to try. :-)

Went to see The Hobbit yesterday and no snacks, jus****er. Had to run to the bathroom in the last 10 minutes of the movie - arghhh! Still, no popcorn so small NSV.
Good luck with the Lifetime Fitness Slim, it sounds like a great plan.

164.0 - see, I told you! I know this drill, down 2-3 days, bounce back a day or two. Hehehe, it's actually good that I know this because I'm not freaking out. These extra pounds are going to come OFF dammit. I was pretty happy at 160, but I was fooling myself, I was happier at 150 **** But it's okay. It's not like I don't know how to lose weight. HELLO. I went down to 148 by following my rules.
I'm even back to drinking black coffee. Hubby rocks! I told him I needed to get to work and he got rid of all the crap in the house, made kale chips in the dehydrator yesterday, cooked a big batch of chili, veggie beef soup, chicken curry and several other freeze-friendly dishes. Today he's got beef jerky in the dehydrator and is going to grill out steak for dinner. At the same time, he'll grill burgers and chicken pieces for quick freeze so I'm not tempted to just grab whatever for lunch. He makes these amazing burgers and grilled chicken that he KNOWS I'd prefer over anything else in the world any day of the week, so I'll be tempted to eat protein instead of Pirate Booty. LOL! We're entering January (which is typically my Pirate Booty month - that crunchy air-like substance that pretends to be healthy allows me to make it okay and it's NOT). That's the worst month for us both business wise and we need to avoid eating out - for my jeans sake, here folks. Oh, and the love of my life also stocked the fridge with cottage cheese, greek yogurt and all kinds of "Candy War Mode" goodies.
He's such a keeper. I really should be nicer to him.

hey good deal. cant think of how many posts i have seen from people one month out of surgery asking if they can eat popcorn at the movies. always a good idea to learn to watch movie without eating. so i don't have to leave the movie to pee, i have altoids or sugar free lemon mint riccola lozenges. keeps down thirst. yeah, they ain't no Junior Mints but such things made me 247 lbs. d

I'm officially back to logging my food. tracking protein, carbs and calories burned through exercise on my fitness pal.... Definitely going back to what works and MFP was key to my success.
I'm back to the principles of eating protein first then veg... What's been a challenge is I'm trying to eat less meat.... I am finding it difficult to digest. So, this will definitely be a journey of trying to learn how to cook various types of fish etc and re-learning what i like that isn't carb heavy.....
one thing i do notice is - i don't "feel" hungry but i get that hungry feeling.... It's more a feeling of empty. Sounds weird but i feel comforted when my stomach is "full".... Crazy but i need to figure out how to break that need for full... As a result, i find myself munching all the time..... and that needs to stop.
Anyway, lots to re-learn.
