Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday, December 26
Hey everyone!
181.4 today, down 1.0 from yesterday.
Hope you navigated Christmas day well, and you had a great time with family, friends, pets, or by yourself... however you chose to spend it.
Celebrated the day with a 70 mile ride under blue skies, whlle it was -2 back in Minneapolis.
I'm liking this trip more and more each day!

It was tough, long 35 mile climb - but the return was all downhill and with the wind... always like the end to be easier than the beginning - you feel like you earned it!

148.8 - yep I worked for every bit of that.
Tom, you've got my 2 brain cells bumping around thinking of something ELSE we could do next year besides sit on our keesters, eat and pretend like we're not a dysfunctional extended family. I mean, even though it was fun pretending that my asshole brother's wife didn't just announce that she wanted a divorce a week ago only to take it all back the next day, I think I'd rather do something else next year. Don't get me wrong, pretending like his wife is a completely normal and sane person is fun in its own way.
Hmm...gonna have to think on this.
Based on some of the trips we've taken over the holidays (Over the past 10 years, over the holidays we've done Italy, London, Paris, Egypt, and exotic Tucson twice) there are a LOT of people in the same frame of mind to get away during this time. My wife's company forces everyone to use a week of vacation between Christmas and New Years Day, so we pretty much have to use it for a big trip/get-away or we lose a chunk of time and end up really just sitting around.
I highly recommend it!

Yeah, so this morning my scale wasn't at the red line. It was at the big flashing red neon "WTF are you doing" line. So, I'm stocking up on basics and this ends NOW. Sending hubby out to the grocery store. No more excuses, Candy.
I love my husband. We had a talk a few days ago where I was obviously rationalizing staying at 160. He told me, "Look, you were happier at 150, you can sit there and tell me why you think your face looks better at 160 all you want and you can now go stomp off and be pissed at me, but you told me to call you out, so I am. You said you wanted to see 140, but I don't think that's good, but 150 was good for you. You can obviously do whatever you want, but stop harping on it."
I hate when that asshole is right.

You're lucky to have someone to tell you what you want them to tell you!

Oh, it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I kind of got pissy about it, actually. LOL. It was what I NEEDED to hear though. He just said it, I got mad and he said "look, you told me to tell you and I'm telling you, you can be angry if you want, but there ya ago".
Like I said, I hate when he's right. Sigh. Rationalization can get us into trouble. It's okay though. I've been down this road before, not as far down it, but I know I can fix it. I'm even drinking black coffee this morning. LOL
