I live in an area that has commercial fishing and I found a local company called Wild Planet that has tuna and other fish in cans and foil pouches. they use some different kind of processing. anyway, i used to eat tuna in a pouch for lunch as a staple protein source but got sick of it. this new kind tastes a lot better and has 24 g protein in 3 oz. for some reason it is higher calorie than other tuna but they use no oil in processing. you can get it salted or unsalted.  costco has it in cans i think.  its my new lunch item. got sick of beef jerky.   diane

Thanks Diane.  I'm gonna look for it.  Haven't found much to put in the purse besides jerky so would welcome the change!

You can probably order it on line. It costs more but oh well. Yeah I did a lot of beef and turkey jerky and got sick of it. Tuna or string cheese these days. D

Occasionally on my meatless Fridays I'll indulge in a can of Wild Planet sardines that I buy at Target.  No scales, no oil-packing, just protein and good fishy oil stuff.  Very tasty.
