Good morning everyone:
Just why am up and at it at 4:30am is anyone's guess.
Hope that your yesterday went well from a food point of view.
Still 8 pounds above goal but eating mindfully, walking, walking, walking and drinking lotsa water.
The self sabotaging was really getting to me when I KNOW that could be in control. Well mostly anyway.
Enjoy the day!
146.6 - works for me. There's some water retention in this number because it hurt to shove on my ring this morning.
I had my one, very small piece of pie and my 1 1/2 homemade rolls (not all at once). We also had creamed kale which I might be adding to my regular diet when I get to maintenance because DAMN that was good.
The rest of my goals were me****er, my mantra, etc.
Back to weightloss today. WOOT!
apple - being honest with yourself--where ever you are in this--is the hardest part. The head **** sucks. *hugs* You got this. Just do today.
120.5 today. Not bad considering I indulged in dressing, cranberry, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, just 2 tablespoons each, moist turkey made by someone else! ha ha. Had tastes of 3 homemade desserts and a cafe mocha-yummy finish to the day. Got my water in and had two sessions on treadmill yesterday. Damage control in my mind! Back to routine today.
181.4 - about the same as yesterday. I didn't get a workout in, which I wanted to do, but so it goes. Looks like weather will be just warm enough Saturday for an afternoon ride, so I'm excited about that.
Eating at a restaurant for thanksgiving was a good strategy. I ended up having a steak, being completely satisfied, bringing 2/3 of it home for further meals, and as a rare treat had a 1/2 of a small slice of pecan pie - and still stayed under my calorie target for the day.

140.7# I'm up but know it's from indulging. It's just annoying to see that number after ONE day of enjoying the day. I've seen some who say they will wake up daily and are the same weight. I want to know how that happens. And, yes, I'm whining!!! lol. It's a total mind (@&$: and it messes with me frequently. I know rationally if I stay in my range it's all good! And, life is good. So much to be thankful for!!!
I'm working out with my personal trainer today and putting up the Christmas tree!!! Good times!
151.8 -continuing down from what I suppose was surgery gain. Yesterday was all good. SIL asked what I could and could not eat- my reply- Ican eat everything I want, and I did- put one bite of dressing with one bite of sweet potato with 2 bites of turkey--you know the picture--sleeve full and satisfied and I'm done. No room for desert and didn't want any. I love Holiday eating this way. Years passed- one bite was too many, because then I wanted to eat it ALL nd All was never enough. Now, some is enough. Wonderful.
goal!!! August 20, 2013 age: 59 High weight: 345 (June, 2011) Consult weight: 293 (June, 2012) Pre-Op: 253 (Nov., 2012) Surgery weight: 235 (Dec. 12, 2012) Current weight: 145
TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
121.4 today. That's getting on the high side for me. I didn't have to contend with Thanksgiving here in Canada but 4 days of travel took their toll. Not sure if 1500 cals are too many either, but first step will be to lower carb intake and see what that does.
Self sabotage is such a ***** - always plays to win.
