Daily Maintenance Weigh In Wednesday, November 27
Haven't been on the scales since Friday when I went in for extended tummy tuck. When I came home from the sleeve surgery last Dec., I had "gained" 18 pounds that took two weeks to re-loose. Won't be making that mistake again- Will get on scale when I return to work. Am logging food and liquids for accountability. Also relying on no liquids, solids together rule. This will be the first Thanksgivin in 27 years that I haven't hosted the extended family get-to-gether. My plan? I'm going to have one plate with a taste of whatever I may want. I'll take a taste or two of any desert that may appeal. No leftovers to graze on- no problem. Do I want to take home any leftovers? "No, no thank you" (Sorry hubby- it's just the way it's gotta be).

I am 18 months post op and entered maintenance in Sept. This seems harder than the weight loss phrase. Glad to find a support group with the focus on maintenance. Will be hosting Thanksgiving again. Last year I prepared food and did not eat anything prepared. I was thinking this year I might try the turkey, sweet potatoes and veggies. Still kind of have this fear of food thing going on. Wishing everyone a very happy holiday. I certainly have a lot to be grateful for.
welcome to our group. lots of good info here. you plan is good - eat just a little of the few things you prefer with emphasis on the turkey. your sleeve won't let you overdo it at this point. and keep telling yourself this is a holiday and it lasts one day and the next day its healthy eating as usual. and when you do indeed stick to that you will gain new confidence that you can do this. really. truly. diane
I've been hovering up around 160 the past week. Honestly, I'm thinking of leaving it. My face looked too skeletal at 150, I think, looking back at photos. I kept waiting for it to readjust and fill back in, but it never did. I'm just going to try to stick around 160 through Christmas and see how I feel. I'm not eating too terribly, but I refuse to live on 1000 calories per day for the rest of my life to stay at 150. There's 10-20 pounds of skin and fat cells that won't go away without surgery as well, so yeah...
Otherwise, doing well. Starting to enter crazy season at work while we prepare for the new year. Going to hubby's grandma's house for Thanksgiving. Always entirely too much food, it's disgusting.
