Daily Maintenance Weigh-in for Sunday Nov 24th

Good morning everyone:

Have been MIA for much too long.

Battling appetite and am up 7 pounds.   Was up 10 at one time but managed to take that off.  And so the work continues.  The longer am in maintenance the harder the mind games are.  And part of the problem is not  ' reporting ' in to here and not recording my daily intake.

Today is a new day and a fresh start.   I keep telling myself that it is NOT too late to start again.

Hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I know how you feel, apple. It can be hard to put ourselves first--do what WE need.

I tend to come on here and talk about things that are bothering me. It probably sucks for others, but it is an enormous help to me.

Just do today. Worry about tomorrow when it gets here.

*hugs*

Hey everybody... back from a week in India - away from a scale...

Weigh-in this am at 83 kg / 182.9 lbs, which was my recorded weight when I left last Saturday.  While I'm higher than I like, it's the first international trip where I didn't gain at all... So that's good news.

October was a full month off of (meaningful) workouts for me, and I picked up about 8 lbs (175 -> 183).  More or less to be expected I suppose.  November and December are going to be challenging due to lots of travel, holidays, etc.  So workouts will be tough, again, until the end of December when we're heading to Tucson for a couple weeks and I'll spend a lot of that cycling.

So, Apple - I understand your issues and feel the same way somedays... I've tried very hard to post here even when my weight is going up, but it ain't easy and I've skipped a day or two when I couldn't face it.

Appetite has been problematic for me too, now that I'm a year into maintenance.  I'm fiddling with my diet a bit to try to avoid the grazing issues (too many nuts, for sure).  I tried a short fasting session while traveling, and that seemed to help a bit.  I think we get in a groove and our bodies get acclimated to a particular diet and then old habits come back... Switching up the diet a bit might help keep the brain and body off-balance a bit.  I'm looking at adding a fasting day per week as a way to try to reset appetite... I really want to get under 170 by next spring for the cycling season, and that'll be a challenge.

Thank you everyone.

So far, an it is only noon, food has been good.

The one good thing is that the walking for 30-60 min/day has continued.

PLUS I did a slew of baking and did not falter.

Cheering us all on.

I'm up too.  142.3#  So, it's back to weight loss mode for me. I allowed it to happen.  I knew what I was doing and did it anyway.  Now, I'm paying for it.  Sucks to do that to myself!!!  I stress eat..plain and simple.   I stopped exercising. I stopped logging. I stopped my water...it's cold here.  What the $&@) did I expect!!!!

I'm exercising today and already up to 10 glasses of water.  I'm making  green chicken soup. So, I do have a plan.

I'm off this week so I will be in control of what I eat and not have the stress of school:) Hoping to be back down in a couple of weeks even with Thanksgiving.

Have a great day!!!
