Cold and rainy today - lots of chores... Taking an great on line class from Harvard that is on the chemistry and physics of cooking, and is taught by scientists - with guest appearances by many famous chefs demonstrating interesting cooking principles with their own techniques.
Learned today about cooking an egg at 57C - 64C and what an incredible difference one degree can make...

Son took PSAT today. He took the ACT and SAT in middle school for "fun." My kids get the brains from my wonderful hubby. They get the smartass responses and heavy dose of street smarts from me.
My daughter is at an all-day play practice. She'll be tired when she gets home. Gonna suck for her to sees the list of chores I put out for her.
We received a nasty-gram from the 3rd reich--aka the homeonwers association. We have to pull out a dead tree (done last weekend) and put in a new tree--planned to do this weekend. So we will be going out to buy our new tree this afternoon.
Then I get to deal with the IR-******g S. I need to write my letter and get all my paperwork together.
One more week and we have Fall Break. Woot! I need a week off to catch up on all the **** I'm not getting done.
