Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Monday September 30
Wow, last day of September. That went fast...
180 today - the usual bounce from an international flight + a bounce post 90 mile ride event + a bounce from carbing up for said event... equals a triple whammy. Gives me something to do this week :)
I'm technically "off" from training for a month - I'll do some riding for fun (having some old friends over this Friday and we'll do a short ride if the weather cooperates).
I think for the winter I'm going to sell my giant Bowflex Revolution and join a gym.. I need to get out of the house more, and for the types of exercise I need to do, the Bowflex is cumbersome. I sold my old LifeCycle exercise bike last week, and the funds are going in my savings to pay for my new bike training device - The Wahoo Kickr, where you hook up your computer, video, and your bike and it controls all three to simulate training outdoors... staying in shape over the winter for cycling will be my number one priority! It is way too painful to rebuild to where I'm at. So this week I'll be shooting pix and getting a craigslist entry ready -- I'll run the add as soon as the weather turns nasty.

147.6 - had some Chinese food that I suspect had lots of salt and a pound or 5 of sugar. I tried to stay away from the sauce, but the crap was dripping in it. I've got to find better places to eat out.
It's my birthday. It's the 15th anniversary of my 28th birthday.
Work has a "birthday" tradition of bringing food crap in for all the folks in the library and technology areas (there are 7 of us). I will find a way out of eating whatever crap they bring. Funnel-vision.
Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll forget. That would be awesome.
Funnel - should be tunnel, but it made me laugh so I left it.
More coffee!!!
Also, my hubby is now in charge of doing things for my birthday. Long story, but I used to bail him out by buying my own gifts. He missed a Valentine's Day - like completely missed--like when the pitcher throws a 90-mph baseball into the stands kind of miss (also missed a birthday and an anniversary). I told him that it wasn't his fault, it was mine. I made it too easy for him. That day, I promised him that I would NEVER buy myself another gift again.
His reason for missing those occasions was that they snuck up on him. He didn't think about what day it was. Yadd, yadda. My response was, "Well, you had 364 days to find something. How many more days did you need?"
He's the most wonderful, smartest, best dad, funnest (yes, that's a word) man in the world, but even he is human.
I have 3 birthday cards and 3 birthday gifts on the counter waiting for when I get home. :-)
Happy birthday , Slim! My birthday wish for you is that someone brings a lovely and tasty treat to put on the table at school that you CAN enjoy.
146.0 this morning. Smiles all around and have a good day, everyone!

I've been following a primal diet plan for the most part and have found a few things that seem to work - I made a banana bread using coconut fibre flour that doesn't seem to send me into a tailspin... all the sweetness comes from bananas... it's not "low-cal" but is fairly low-carb and high fiber.
