Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday September 26, 2013
Hi from London... Thursday noon here...
Scale in hotel room shows a nice 2 lb loss since arrival, so a couple hours of walking per day is helping.
174.8 (can't be sure if that correlates to my scale at home - I just know its about a 2 lb drop since I arrived)
couple more days to go on this trip... I'm looking forward to Saturday - the weather is looking decent for our 90 mile British Heart Foundation ride from Oxford to Cambridge. 6 designated pubs to stop at along the way... :)

Homecoming week has been fun. Staff get to dress up. I didn't yesterday because I had the stitches removed from my surgery...finally.They had a pep rally yesterday and only one can got picked up and thrown and one girl (the mascot) got a nasty bump on her head (nt from the trash can). It was actually pretty tame.
I'm off to the quiet, boring library job soon. It's the best place in the world. My work bestie isn't happy. Apparently, she's intimidated by me (I know you are all shocked by this). I told the person who was sent to tell me to play more nicer that I'm not going to dumb down to make her fell better. The problem isn't mine, and one thing I've learned since surgery is to be more careful about which of OTHER PEOPLE'S problems I choose to make my own.
Slim, your library job sounds far from boring, or at least you know how to make it interesting and lively! I like the no compromise tude when it comes to being your own best adversary, as long as it doesn't hurt others and I know this is the case with you for sure. Have a great day in library land!
121.6 for me this morning. About the same as yesterday. Happy enough!
Thanks Mimi *hugs*
I am a very quick study, I'm kind and helpful to the students and staff. I know more about the job that we both do, because last year she didn't want to learn much. My bestie is on probation for verbally abusing a teacher last spring in a threatening manor (her son and a bunch of his friends came with her to "talk" to the teacher). She is trying to keep her job--which I respect--and start fresh.
What bothers her is that she can't bully me. So, she is trying slyer things like going to others and trying to get them on her side. The problem she has is that, like most devious actions, it is blowing up in her face which makes her more mad.
She seems to be in competition with me--although I'm not playing a long.
I go and do the my best work. That's why I'm there. Her problems are hers alone and I won't be taking any crap from anyone. If that hurts her, so be it.
While coffee is the official "pre-ride" drink, Beer is the official "recovery" drink of cycling, but not one of my favorite beverages... :) I can't even imagine drinking during a 90 mile ride.

Oh, Jubjub! To be a bird on your shoulder as you wind your way through the English countryside. My daydreams are with you.
148 this morning. I haven't weighed this since sometime in the 8th grade- (I vaguely remember a blue box pleat skirt rolled up just above my knees, circa 1968 - that's how long it has been). Crazy how time flies. Have an ever-increasingly-wonderful and blessed day, folks.

504 meeting today for my son. I hope it goes well, but from everything I've heard from the teachers and staff, they've already implemented most of what I asked so I'm not expecting any surprises. Also going to ask for him to be removed from Spanish. 35 kids is too much for him (yes, in one classroom). He's been having anxiety attacks. He said he'll do whatever catch up work is needed to be moved to German (very small class, same period, works with his other schedule issues)
