Yay! Happy surgiversary!!!

I hope you start feeling better soon, too. You are doing fantastic with your weight considering all the health crap.

In the great scheme of things, it is a minor bump in the road. So far, dietary changes are helping and I am eating even more slowly. I am using some natural remedies and started acupuncture treatments a couple of weeks ago. It will be interesting to see how things go. I think the hernia is fairly recent, since I do more burping and need to wait in between bites, more than I used to. The hernia repair needs to be done, but a RNY at this point in time seems like overkill, especially, since I don't have diabetes and I don't have a lot weight to lose. I should hear back from the surgeon in the next week or two.

have a great weekend!

I am a really fast eater. I do notice that when I eat more slowly, I do better in a lot of ways--fuller, more satisfied, etc.

I hope you can wait on the RNY and see if the hernia repair works. I've thought about revising a few times, but it's just the frustration of not getting to goal which is my own fault.

Have a good weekend.

121.5  today. phooey. dr. said to up my protein so i have been having a protein drink at lunch but find i am still hungry later and want to eat my regular jerky lunch and such. funny how three years ago it used to take me 45 min to choke down one of those drinks. now i can just slug it down in 10 minutes.

well it has been unseasonably hot here next to the world's largest air conditioner. like 70 degrees. people come here from inland to escape the heat. worked at the art gallery yesterday and all the lighting in there really heats it up. customers were griping. oh well, sold some of my stuff. it will be hot at the studio today. those kilns heat up the place. gotta go look for some fog.  we have no ac here as its not needed but could use some.

going to a labor day party pot luck. i am gonna make a bunch of those micro waved cheese crisps and i bet they are a big hit. but must beware of the evil dessert queen. she cost me a couple of pounds last time.  diane

176 - a bit high, but biking tomorrow which will drop me back again.  It's been killer hot all week, which seems to bloat me up a bit.

157.8 so coming back down, not logging like I want. My brain is fuddled. Not the best choices today, but better than they have been. Lots of soreness, taking a LOT of naps. Getting all my water in is proving to be next to impossible, so I'm working on it.

Slow and steady....

I did finally send out the dreaded email to clients that I was extending my leave until Sept 24. Kind of depressing. I wanted to be further along recovery-wise, but I have overdone it. I'm dialing it back and taking care of myself.

Good to read that you are taking care of yourself . Healing does take some time. Is some of your pain nerve related? I wonder, if acupuncture treatments might be helpful? Keep trying to get your water in!

Yes, the nerve is nearly gone as far as pain, it's just back pain and some on my hips. Not horrible, but I'm going easy.
