VSG Maintenance Group
Daily Maintenance weigh in - Wednesday Aug 21, 2013
174.6 - woohoo - back in my maintenance range through clean living!
Got my new bike all set up yesterday, and joined my training group for 2.5 hours of brutal hill climb training. Yes, I know it's Minnesota, not the Rockies, but you can go up and down short, steep hills for a couple hours and fry your legs, too. Size isn't *everything* :)
Legs are very tired this morning... so some sort of progress was made. And now I have two, nearly identical bikes. So when one is in the shop, the other is still at the ready.
Obviously I have a very understanding spouse (with respect to $$ spent on bikes),
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.While the minimum number of bikes one should own is three, the correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.
but as yet, I have not achieved rule #25 - perhaps I need a cheaper car.
Rule #25 // The bikes on top of your car should be worth more than the car.Heaviest: 313/VSG Pre: 295/Surgery: 260/Maintenance target:190 - Recent: 195 (08/15/19)

This is my third bike - and with that, I'm just catching up to my business partner who owns 3 motorcycles! BMW R1200RS, BMW 1200GS and a Yamaha YZ750 just for the track... Although he's spent more $$ overall, I definitely have spent more per pound!

I remember when I was a lad in high school... there were two bikes I wanted. A norton Commando (May have had something to do with the adverts at the time, for example: here) and a Kawasaki kz900. I owned the KZ a few years ago... Never had the pleasure of riding a Norton. One of the most common bikes I see when traveling in India are the "Royal Enfields." Another name from the past - still made in India - but still look like they're from the 60s.
Now I'm a car guy though and take my little Boxster S to the track when I can...

123.6 this morning. That's a good place.
I'm feeling tired today, so canceled some things I had planned to do. Also, I have a few things to take care of before this Canadian travels to San Antonio Tx on Friday. I will be in that area for 10 days, with short trips planned to Corpus Cristi and Austin. If any of you are in those areas and would like to visit, please PM me.
