Daily Maintenance Weigh In Monday, August 19, 2013
176.3 today, so down almost a pound from yesterday as the international travel bloat comes off.
Using data analysis tools, I'm seeing that in maintenance for the past few months I have a very slight upward trend... It's hard to see in the daily numbers as they bounce around, but by graphing and using a trend line it's there. So... my thought of dialing down my daily calorie target is well-warranted by hard data... I'm thinking my trend up is showing that I'm off by about 50-100 calories per day, so I'm dropping the target by 200 at first.

Mims I wonder if you aren't still just establishing your maintenance weight/range, as opposed to truly looking at a 3 pound gain? You are still well below your goal weight!

Could be, but I feel better around 118-119. As you know, I am struggling with some increased hunger and trying to figure out if head hunger or true physical hunger. Chances are it is sometimes one and sometimes the other. Satisfying my hunger is difficult some days. I feel like I am eating too many calories on those days. Then the next day I may not be hungry and I will have a lower than normal calorie day. I don't want to set myself up for this. I don't see that as healthy.
Me too. I have exactly that feeling - even though my weight hasn't changed much.
My analysis shows a very slow trend of 1/2 pound per month gain - that equates to roughly 70 calories per day, if one goes by the (probably inaccurate) 3,500 C/lb of fat.

125.2 this morning. I've been drinking a lot more but still seem to be retaining fluids. Normally my ring is quite loose but is so tight right now I couldn't get it on or off without considerable effort. Is it possible that going from 20+ carbs to 60+ carbs could be causing this? Weird!
Jub, those trends are very important and one I intend to keep an eye on very closely.

151.8 - 2 lb jump that I'd been expecting.
My first day back to school is over. My feet hurt. My arms hurts from giving out literally thousands of textbooks. But, I looked and felt awesome in my nice clothes today. I only had to get *****y with 2 groups of kids in the library.
My dinner plan of having a roast in the crock pot didn't happen. Both hubby and i forgot to through it in. First-day-of-school craziness. So, I am trying decide what will be for dinner.
