Daily Maintenance Weigh In--Sunday, July, 28 2013
I really, really, really don't want to start this thread today because I don't like my weight. It's all my fault--had people over last night and I did my usual ****ty job of finding healthy things to eat. The mostest ****ty part is it was at my ******g house. I had full control over the food choices. Damnit.
153.2 - time to face this and get it under control.
It's raining here--has been all morning. I'm loving it. The house is cool and we really need the rain. I have a crapload of things to get done before tomorrow when I start back to a full work schedule. So, I will be at my desk most of the day NOT ignoring all of the stuff I've been ignoring.
What are your plans for this Sunday?
155.6 - same as yesterday. At least it's not going up anymore. I finished all the meds, so hopefully that will be gone. Surgery Wed. *bites nails*

Back to Bangalore after a road trip to Chennai and Pondicherry. Ugh. Hotter than hell, 20 hours of sitting in a car over the past 60 hours (1 hour of driving in India feels like 5+ hours of driving in the US).
I'm not very "in control" of my food selections or restaurants here, So I've just been doing the best I can. Can't wait to get to Paris and be a bit more on my own so I can choose my own food, and get away from people for a while. 5 days to go...

I'm just doing a 2 day stopover, i'll visit my friend Francoi**** a museum or two (probably with him) and walk a lot. My goal is to hit my favorite bookstore to pick up some new French language textbooks to help me prep for my next French DELF language exam in December... then I'll sit in cafes and relax a bit. My birthday is next monday, so it's a little gift to myself to be able to take the weekend and do whatever... I also will try to practice my French and annoy the locals with my poor pronunciation - but that's the only way to get better at it... I'm still trying to figure out if I'll have enough time to rent a proper bike and get out of the city, but I'm not going to stress about it on this trip.
Usually my wife does meet me, but this trip is too short... and we'll be heading back for a two week proper vacation in September... Then we'll spend a couple days in Paris but get out into the rest of the country - probably the southeast toward Nice this time. Last year we did the Dordogne and Provence. We still haven't planned it out fully, but we have come to have faith in our ability to figure things out as we go, as long as we have the first few days planned, a car rented and an internet connection!
