153.2 - no clue why the big jump, but not going to fret.

I added cereal to my diet this morning. I miss it terribly (and my body does too LOL). I found something made by Barbara's with 14 fiber in a cup and am using Mootopia milk. It was SO good and my stomach is thanking me :) I'm NOT buying Frosted Flakes, back in the day, I could finish half a box. LOL! It's a lot of carbs, but I'm going to feel it out and see if I can make it work. If not, I can always change :)

Hi Lisa,

I think Anemia is quite common after any WL surgery, because your ability to eat the kinds of foods that supply a lot of iron are diminished (red meat, spinach, etc). I have a cronic type of anemia that existed before my surgery. I take iron injections 3x a week for 2 months, twice a year, in conjuction with B-12 and vitamin C supplements. My ferritin is a 3, which is about as bad as it gets without having a blood transfusion. I am able to get my numbers up with the IM injections though.

Good Luck,

Heather
