So, I can't work out for 10 days. In the past, I've noticed that I tend to lose a little easier when I don't work out. My body is very, very good at retaining fluids. I've been trying to decide if I want to keep up with karate because it is starting to really wear on my body. I'm thinking about taking it easy in the work out part of my life for awhile and focus on the last 10 lbs. Then, restart the harder workouts. I would still walk and bike ride. But, I would take a long break from karate and weights.

Don't know. Just thinking out loud.

I know what you mean, Slim. Sometimes working out too hard seems to be counterproductive. I'm not a big believer in starvation mode, but I do wonder if the big output of calories really does shock our bodies and send it into conservation mode. It kind of sucks.

I went shopping last night at Target (yes, I shop at Target LOL) and got a few pairs of pants and some shirts that actually FIT. I feel weird wearing fitted shirts. I am so used to looking for big flowing ones to tent my body. My hubby was great about telling me, "no, get the other one, this one doesn't fit, honey, it's too loose, look at where it falls on your shoulders".

I'm trying to keep myself from "tugging" at it. LOL! The shirt I'm wearing today is super cute. $6 too. LOL! I love being able to buy cheap clothes. It's a pink/yellow/brown/white HORIZONTAL striped t-shirt and a pair of size 10 jeans (that are too loose, but the 8s were too tight with all the skin and big lower stomach).

I also bought the CUTEST FREAKING DRESS. Me. A dress! Size medium! I'll post photos tomorrow. Hubby and I are headed out with another couple to see Drew Carey tonight and I wanted something new to wear. Above the knee, no less!

Very cool about the clothes. I have fitted t-shirts too, and I constantly have to tell myself to relax my shoulders so I don't slouch. I never stood/sat straight when I was a fatty.

I bought one of those long to the floor summer dresses awhile back and I've been having fun wearing it. I don't know if I pull it off well, but I feel sexy in it. I wore it to the luau last weekend and the entire time I was there, I had to keep telling myself "there are no perfect bodies" over and over.

Rock the dress **** the rest.
