Daily Maintenance Weigh In, Wednesday July 10, 2013
151.0 - I HATE seeing that number, especially with how well I've been doing with food. I've shaved off every single thing that I thought might be stalling my weight loss. I started working out again (took 2 weeks off from karate). The non-emotional part of my brain says this is fluid retention from the harder workouts, and barely being able to get my ring on this morning supports this. The emotional part of my brain wants to say **** it and call it at 150.
I got thrush from the nasty steroid inhaler I had to use during my upper respiratory/sinus infection (I get thrush every time I have to go on a steroid inhaler). I've been eating yogurt the last couple of days and taking a probiotic and the thrush is almost gone. I haven't eaten yogurt in a long time because early out I thought it might be hindering my already slow weight loss. Maybe it's happening again. Don't know.
Don't know how much longer I can do this.
My daughter has her first vision therapy session today. Long story that I don't feel like publishing on the internet.
What unexpected expense will you have today?
151.7 - completely unexpected new low. I would say "WTF" but there's never a rhyme or reason.
Actually, there is. I got a really good night's sleep. I should know this by now. Sleep begets weight loss for me.
Unexpected expense? You only want one? Hmmm... the big one is my daughter broke her retainer last week, get to go pick up the new one this afternoon and pay for it. I don't want to know how much that is going to cost me.

173 - back to mid-range, but with the heat/humidity/etc. i expect the number will be all over the map - that's why I do a "range" i guess...
Unexpected expense? Well... while driving to a cycling race 2 weeks ago I drove through a huge thunderstorm... no biggie, but at one point on the interstate there was this "puddle." Turned out it was 2-3 feet deep, very unexpectedly (it was late and little traffic on the road), so without warning I found myself plowing through a lake. Car stalled, but restarted. Unfortunately the engine sucked in enough water to damage it thoroughly. I'm waiting to find out if the car is a total loss. It appears that insurance will cover it - so I'm lucky - but I loved the car, and there's the deductible, hassle, etc....

Just got the call from the insurance company - getting a new engine rather than a new car - which makes sense to me - car itself wasn't damaged in the least, i love the car, and a new engine will add to the longevity...
So I'm good - bit of expense for the deductible, but worth it.
