2 1/2+ Years and Maintenance
4th of July 2013 - Playa del Carmen, Mexico
I didn't recognize any from the main page - it's been awhile!
I had to stop and actually think about how far out I was because I just live my life now and don’t think in terms of pre or post op.
I find maintenance to be fairly easy – that’s not to say it doesn’t take work. If you do your part, your sleeve will do its part. I take fairly good care of myself with food and watch my portions and what I eat, but I don’t follow a stringent diet. While I was losing, I did Zumba and more cardio, but now I do only yoga a couple of times a week and I feel amazing.
I just returned from an “all inclusive” beach vacation without any gain. That is a 1st in terms of vacations. Pre-sleeve, I could count on atleast 5lbs as a souvenir. It is definitely doable. If you develop the right habits early on and don’t depend on your sleeve to do all the work for you, you can enjoyably live in maintenance without putting too much thought into it. I realize others have struggled more with maintenance and this is just what has worked for me and not a reflection of anything that others may/or may not be doing wrong.
These photos are milestone pics. These are the type of photos my husband would always want me to do, but I never would. It was more of making a mad dash to the water before somebody saw me. He never saw me overweight as I saw myself. Getting me to pose on the beach for him was a “look how far I’ve come” moment!
Great post....... and you look great also !!!
