Daily Maintenance Weigh-In for July 9th
on 7/9/13 12:35 am
Morning everyone:
Have been so busy that am meeting myself coming around the corner. House guests, camping, work, more house guests, work, even more guests, and oh, did I mention work?
Down a smidge from an all time high 166 ( post op) down to 164.7. So that is a tinge encouraging. Weather has been so beautiful that we are outside just doing and doing and doing. Not drinking enough though. Goal is 160 and I WILL get back down there. Thank heavens for daily weighing to keep me honest. And for this board in order to record the honesty.
Frisco.... I wept when I read your post because that is me as well. Was at a huge sandcastle event and saw myself everywhere. The tugging of the clothing to cover the massive lumps and bumps, the frustration in not being able to be nimble, the frightened feeling of maybe I won't fit through the turnstile. Oh it is humbling to have been able to have this surgery. And the realization that it could so darn easily come right on back.
Have the best day everyone.

119.5. Doing well here as newbie on maintenance. Declared maintenance at 125 lbs. Have floated down a bit, but I am comfortable here. I am learning how to balance my activity level with calories. Have been deathly afraid to add more calories. I need to get over it. I am weighing everyday and should be able to tell when I need to back off. Any suggestions? I am all over the place in terms of calories each day. Still maintaining 90 gms protein and less than 50 gms carbs.
Holding steady at 153.9
My 10 year old daughter had her allergy testing yesterday. As expected, she's allergic to a slew of environmental things. Including dogs. We have 3. LOL. Thankfully, they are small low-dander dogs, but still. Now to convince her to do shots...
While we were there, I pulled her hair up so they could do the skin *****s on her back... and.... she had lice. *scratches head madly* It was BAD. So, I spent 7 hours yesterday treating her head and pulling nits and bugs from her head. It was AWESOME. My 12 year old son had a very mild case so it only took 2 hours on him.
I'm INSANE about head lice. We've been through it a few times and hubby and I have a good system down for getting rid of them, but it's exhausting. I am a champion nit-picker and he washes and boils everything in sight. I'll go through their hair again tonight and each day this week and he'll rewash everything all day every day this week.
Fun times. I know everyone gets them and they only like clean hair, but ick.
