Monday Monday Monday June 17th Maintenance Weigh-In

Hi All:

Even though I did eat mean and lean and drank and drank weight up even more.  163.4

So am 3.4 above goal of 160.

Sigh.

Leg very painful today.  Hopefully it means that the lymph nodes are learning to drain again.

More lean and mean today.   The only thing that I can think of to budge this.  Can't walk so that is of no help at all.

Have the best day everyone.

Hi Apple - Probably swelling, especially if you can't even walk.  It'll pass.

174.2  Down a bit, and back into maintenance range.

Will be a light exercise week as we taper down toward our 132 mile race on Saturday in the hills of Southwestern Wisconsin.  20 hill climbs on tap.  Yikes.

Might as well post this: 163.4 - it's real and it's sticking - that's me 5 lbs heavier than I want to be.

No excuses, even though I know I am experiencing some inflammation in my right, wonky knee it is no where near 5 lbs worth. Too many carbs (sugar) have been creeping in and my balanced exercise routine has been disrupted by triathlon training.  I have decided that I just don't want to commit to the tri traininganymore and having this small gain really made me think about what I was trying to accomplish with it. I have done sprint triathlons pre-op, just not highly motivated to do it again due to the time commitment involved.

149.8 - Big jump for 1 day. Feeling very puffy. I think the drugs are messing with me a little, too.

Getting my kids ready for camp--they leave Thursday. My daughter is so, so ready - she's going for 2 weeks. My 15 yo son has yet to cut the umbilical cord. He's freaking out a little even though he's only staying 1 week.

My girlfriend from Texas is coming for a visit. She's 2 + years out from sleeve surgery and about 10 lbs under her goal. Can't wait to see her again. Kids will be at camp, so we get to play, play, play.

You all have a wonderful day!

104.1 lbs today.

returned from a two week vacation last night. Brought own snacks, but eating out was definitely a challenge. GERD is becoming more problematic and even though there are some things that make it worse, eating grilled chicken shouldn't set it off so badly. I had poached eggs, a few bites of potatoes, some Canadian bacon, and part of an English muffin for brunch. I didin't finish anything, including the eggs . The GERD attack lasted about 3.5 hours. Will see pcp today. The problem seems to be getting worse. I think I need an upper GI test to see, if I might have a hernia.

the day that I left, my weight was 105.4, so I have dropped a bit.

The GERD isn't new, but it seems to be getting worse and the attacks are more intense and are lasting longer. The protonix isn't enough anymore. I saw my pcp today and he prescribed a medication to help dry up the excessive gastric secretions. I hope it helps. He also ordered an endoscopy. If I can get a ride, I can have it done tomorrow, since there was a cancellation. Otherwise, it will be the first week in July.

Was this an issue pre-op?I had a hiatal hernia pre-op and it was fixed during my VSG. It was great for a while but I think it's come back a bit. Not as bad as pre-op but it's there. Sigh.
