Daily Weigh-In for Sunday May 26th
on 5/26/13 1:47 am - CA
Hello gang!
We double-posted this thread today. I'll take my Sunday thread down, but here's my entry for the day :-)
Had my first post-op pizza last night. It was one of those artisan, wood-fired oven, super-thin crust things that everybody raves about, but I thought it was just ok. I think I might have been happier with plain ol' pepperoni and cheese from costco :-) Oh well, I'm glad it's not going to be a trigger food.
I also rode my new scooter for the very first time yesterday. It was much easier than I thought it would be! Of course, I was in a parking lot with no traffic, no hills, no bumps or anything. Today, I plan to take it out around my neighborhood. It's a holiday weekend so traffic should be light. I hope to get my motorcycle license soon!
Oh, and I'm at 99.6 lbs today.
I hope everyone's Memorial Day weekend is coming along nicely!

I've been meaning to tell you how jealous I am! A road and rafting trip sounds like so much fun! Bringing the cooler with healthy food is the only way to go. It will give you choices and control, which, now that I think about it, is what maintenance is all about. I know you'll find the proper balance of "fun foods" and "on-program foods" while you're on this trip.
Are you doing any rapids? If you are, I hope you hold on tight!

The first river will be a 5 day trip, with some intermediate rapids. After that trip, there are a couple of other rivers that will be day trips. We will be in Montana!
I packed up my vehicle with my gear, so I will continue to do some packing each day. Rafting privately is a lot more work, since we do all the work ourselves. Amazing how wonderful something can be that is a lot of hard work.

Happy Sunday...
172.4 - happy to be in the lower half of my "range" again.
Just back from a quick 50 mile training ride with lots of hills. We're training for a 200k in wisconsin in a few weeks that has some real leg-breakers, so we're concentrating on hills.
Weather is still crappy- 50 degrees when I got up at 4:00am to head out, and still not much different, except it looks like rain soon.
