8:22 am, and no post to start the day, so I'll take a turn... hope nobody minds...

174.3 today - just fine.

Here's a pic from Sunday showing the conditions at the top of the hill climb... it was crazy - raining and fog so thick I couldn't see the side of the road at times.

Also, I woke up to an email from Italy this morning informing me that a photo I submitted to a pre-race contest was selected as one of 3 winners of a professional cycling helmet by one of the race sponsors... one can never have too many helmets!

That's an AWESOME photo. You look... well... like a pro! Love!

Anyone can start the thread. I think it's cool that different folks do it :)

153.4 - this is the first month that I have a gain for the month. Just 2 pounds and I'm 23 months out today. I'm not going to stress. I think it could have been worse with the steroid injections, pain patch and all the stuff I've been through in the past month. I still want to get the rest of this down. I'm going to own it and update my ticker with it. I'm hoping once the steroids get out of my system, this will come off quickly and I can just SEE that 150 on the scale. I already consider myself within maintenance range, so no stress yet.

Plastics consult tomorrow. *gulp*

Sorry - should have been more clear- that IS a pro - the first guy to the top... :)  I should have a pic or two of me in a day or two when they post all the individual pics.  I was just struck by how quickly I forgot how crazy the conditions were - rain and fog - so thick i couldn't see the side of the road at times.

The lesson is that you forget the bad stuff about 5 minutes after you accomplish something you set out to do...

LOL, yeah, I meant your photo looks pro. It's still early here and I haven't finished my coffee. LOL!

I can't believe you rode in that! That's insanity!

And thanks. I know it's normal, it's why I'm not really stressing. I'm oddly at peace with it, which surprised me. I thought I'd be upset. I think the fact that I know I'm doing the right things right now helps :) I cannot control the pain issue or my back or anything, but I can control my reaction to it - and that reaction doesn't involve ice cream, so that's a win :)

I guess if you used ice cream to ice your back - that would be ok :)

Great attitude! I can't even imagine what you have been going through. I think you will be surprised at how well your plastics consult will go.

Thanks! I'm still really nervous about it, but I need to do it and I'll be okay. I think knowing that I'm not actually going to DO anything about it for a year helps, ya know? Weird, but true. LOL. I am looking forward to his feedback as far as how much more weight I could lose or not. My arms and legs are pretty thin. My thighs, if I put my hands around them are just slightly bigger than my 10 year old daughter's LOL! So, yeah.

That was my attitude, when I went in for my first plastics consult. In one year, you be amazed at how things shift around. At least they did for me. I still need plastics, but the skin looks better than it did two years ago.

I think you're doing it right - stick with it, the weight's going to bounce around a bit... you've had your trials and tribulations, hang in there and things will settle out in your favor...

Morning all:

Up nearly 2 pounds today.

Ate very late last night so no wonder.

Back to basics.  Still only .5 about goal but I like to be below goal.  NO SALT.

Have a good day.  ( Looks like a brutal ride )
