Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday May 7, 2013
This is my first time to visit/post in this group. I am 15 months out and have been on maintenance the past 7 months. The first couple of months in maintenance trying to stop losing weight was the hardest part of this whole journey to me. Trying to add food/calories into my daily routine was quite the challenge! I have maintained between 131-134 the past couple of months so I think it's working. I did get as low as 128 after a very busy weekend where I wasn't focused on food but I have yet to go back up past 134. When I started this weight loss journey I mentally set my goal at 160 since WW had set mine at 155 and I struggled to reach that weight. I stayed at 155 about a week before putting every bit of the weight back on PLUS about 30 more lbs. I didn't try to get down past 160, just kept on my same eating routine and the weight kept coming off. I decided then that I would just see where this journey took me. I haven't weighed below 140 since elementary school.
I smile whenever I see someone on here stating what they have set for their "goal weight" - just wait and let your body decide where it wants to take you!
Welcome, Kitsy! I agree with you, but I think we're all different too. I need a number to strive for, I'm a little competitive that way. Once I get there, I think I'm just going to switch into maintenance and see where it goes and let nature takes it's course. I also have a plastics consult later this week so I can see what of this he thinks he can take off, just for my own peace of mind :)
