Two Years Out
I had VSG two years ago today. What a great decision that was!
I went from a size 24 to a size 6. Of course, I never thought I was as big as I was ... and now I don't think I'm small. I was never a fan of shopping for clothes and I'm still not. I still gravitate towards the Plus section in stores. Once I move over to the regular section, the clothes that are a 10 or 12 look to me like they would fit me, but they are way too big. My mind might catch up some day (but maybe not since I was obese for 30 years and really didn't see myself that way).
Since a few months after surgery, I do not track what I eat. I keep a mental note of how much protein I have had, that's it. I do not eat meat, so I need to focus on getting protein from other sources and I still drink protein shakes (Premier chocolate is my favorite) and protein bars (WonderSlim from Diet Direct). For me tracking food is giving it too much power. I know for others it is a great tool.
I still weigh myself every day. I seem to naturally have about a 4 pound range. If I'm up 3 pounds, I back off carbs for a day or two and I'm back at goal. When my weight gets get too low, my face and rib cage get too thin. I am 5'6" and, for my frame, I think I'm best at 140 pounds.
I had plastic surgery five months ago and am thrilled with the results.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

Awesome! Thanks for posting. Any big changes you noticed from the 1 year out to the 2 year out phase?
