Its actually really sweet in its own way.  The cat is trying to share its food with you and take care of you.

My cats are all in door and never go outside.  I used to have the sweetest little black DSH named spot.  Since she never had a "treasure" to bring me, She would often leave her little stuffed dinosaur (I taught her to play fetch with it, and my cats come when whistled for) on my pillow.  A couple of times she would find a cricket and want to share that.  Id leave it and she'd have it as a snack later.

She also used to like to groom me at night after I would brush her.  She'd lick every part of my hair till it stood straight up.  She was either caring for me or just thought I'd look better like Doc Brown in "Back to the Future".

BAck in 2007, someone I was shooting left the door to my apartment open, and Spot got outside.  She was a rescue and very nervous.  After that I could not get her back inside and she became a neighborhood cat.  I still miss her.

Spot sounds like my girl cat. She's indoor. She'll go outside, but she's a little too full-figured to jump a fence. Anytime I sit on the couch, she grabs my head in her paws and licks my hair until I looks like Mary in "There's Something About Mary" (the scene with the "hair gel").

My girl cat is just as weird as my boy cat. Boy cat open doors and fetches. Girl cat loves sinks and licking my hair.

I also have a mastiff that can fart like 300-lb beer-drinking red-neck. She lets one rip on the hardwood and we all fall into a fit of giggles. She's 8 1/2 years old. Selective hearing. She can't hear me call her, but she can here the treat jar open and shut from a mile away.

Spot was my first ever cat.  I always had dogs growing up.  The apartment I lived in at the time would allow me to have an 80 lb jungle cat, but not even a 3lb fur-fru dog.

I went to the shelter, and there was this sad little black cat who was just terrified.  When they put her in the room with me she ran as far away as she could and hid.  I couldn't get her to play or anything.  She had been rescued from an abusive situation where people burned and hit her.  PEople like being mean to black cats.

When I got her home, She would just hide under the table or under my recliner.  I slept on that living room floor for a wee****il she started trusting me.  On about the 8th night, she would reach out from under the recliner and grab my hand with her paw.  Then after that she would come out and play with me, bring me her brush, get some loving, sleep with me.

So I taught her to fetch, shake, and named her Spot.  My friends were all like - "You really did want a dog!".

She never did like being handled though.  Taking her to the vet or getting her in her carrier was pure torture emotionally.  I'll never forget the day I moved out of my house in CT to head to Alabama.  I had to chase her all over the house.  She kept looking at me and meowing in the most tortured way, i could almost hear her saying "Why are you doing this to me".

I hated not being able to get her back inside when she ran out.  She would fight and claw like mad when I tried to pick her up and there was no way I could find to get a hold of her.  She would come up to the door and have a conversation with my other cat, but she would never come in or let me pick her up.

I know it. When my boy cat is outside EVERYTHING is on his terms. If he doesn't want to be bothered he just runs away and there's no catching him. If he wanted to leave he would. But, I think he comes back for me. He loves me more than anything - seriously, it's weird how much he adores me.

He didn't come home on Valentine's Day. Needless to say, I was heartbroken. But, I also know that we live about 100 feet from the wild. Coyotes everywhere. Owls. Hawks. I figured he'd finally met his match.

On a whim, I decided to look on the animal control website. they show pictures of strays. I'm scrolling through and there's his picture -  behind bars. In kitty prison. We went down to get him and I walked in the back room. He looked at me. Took a sniff and started yowling his head off. The animal control folks were laughing "that must be your cat." He got caught in a humane trap in someone's back yard. $150 later, we were heading home. He slept the first 3 days. Wouldn't let me out of his sight for a week. He didn't look interested in going outside at all for about 3 weeks.

He's back out there now, but he's hanging closer to home. He's sleeping in the garage in the nice kitty condo we've always had set up for him.

I just don't have the heart to force him to stay inside. Kind of ****** me off that he is supposed to stay inside in our city because he's performing a public service, imo. Animal control sure as hell doesn't give a rats fart how many ******g bunnies/rodents are running around.

I don't do dead things. I went and knocked on my neighbor's door at 6:30 in the morning because our dogs had brought in a headless bird and it was in the living room floor. He came over with a bag laughing his ass off.

First time my cat was in the back yard with a bunny my daughter called my hubby at work. Right as she's giving Daddy a play-by-play of what the cat is doing, my boy cat grabs the still alive bunny by the neck, flips it in the air, jumps and catches it before it hits and ground and shakes the bunny like a rag.

I'm laughing and screaming and "holy crap"ping and really trying to hold back vomit. My daughter was completely silent just staring at my cat out the window.

Finally, she says, "Dad? I'm NEVER going to forget this day."

We've seen so many now, she coined the term bunny butt.

OMG... this totally sounds like **** that happens in my house. Seriously. We don't put the fun in dysfunction, we put the ******g fun.

I'm not kidding actually. There's this stupid Thrift Song song. My kids are 10 and 12 and have heard the unedited version. Anytime something like that happens they say.... "That was... ******g awesome."

Sigh... I guess I curse so much... LOL. It drives hubby crazy but he's started to just roll his eyes and go with it. They don't do it in front of other adults, so whatever.

179.6 - Back in the 170s YAY

My Maintenance range is 177-187 - so I was never out of my "official" range, but I am definitely more comfortable emotionally when that second digit is a 7 than and 8!

I had the companion to your peeing last night, It seems that a week of colace and linzess have started things moving more rapidly!  I still have a little distension in my lower abdomen (Why couldn't it be somewhere else?) but it seems to be getting better every day.

This weekend?  DH and I want to build a growing table along the back of our deck.  I will probably be measuring and designing it.  We are thinking of putting the growing table at waist height, about 2 feet deep and 18-24 inches wide.  Then a trellace up the back of it to the bottom of the deck so we can grow garlic and berries in the back of the growing box and herbs and veggies in the front.  Just taking measurements, doing drawings, and the Bill-of-material, and costing this weekend.

That's it. When the zombie neighbor (she keeps coming back from dead - it's weird, we hear she died and then a week later we see her watering her flowers) does really die, you're moving in. I can't grow weeds.
