Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Friday 4/26

Gooood morning!

What's your weekend plans?

We have a family staff picnic at hubby's school on Saturday, a meetup on Saturday night (date night, no kids, woot!) and yoga on Sunday. Sounds busy, but should be fairly relaxing. I leave next week for a business trip to PA.

151.7 this morning - a new low. I want to say unexpected since I was 155 yesterday, but I spent the good part of the day peeing. Guess the retention from that steroid decided to let go or who knows. Who cares. I'm staying below where I wanted for now, so that's good. It would be nice to see 150, but I'm not sweating it at this point.

150.4 - my hip hates me.

My serial killer cat had a 2-bunny night. He brings them into the garage to share with us. He's so sweet that way. My daughter calls the dead bunnies, "bunny butts" which makes us all giggle. The butts are all that's left when he finishes with them. Gross, I know. but after a few hundred bunny butts in your garage, back yard, porch, etc - you just don't give a **** anymore. Neither do the bunnies - HAHAHAHA!!! Sorry, bad joke.

This weekend is make-up birthday sleepover for my son. We couldn't have anyone over last weekend for his birthday. Also, driving around with the man-child. He's itching to get behind the wheel every day.

Now, I'm going to try to figure out where I left my hip.

OMG, Slim... only you would have a serial killer cat. That's awesome. So, he eats their heads? Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. At least the rabbit population is under control. LOL! Oy!

HAHA!!! Yep, I have strange animals.

I finally had to ask a vet friend why in the hell the cat eats the head and leaves the rest. She said the head and insides (pulled out through the neck) are the best part to the cats.

It used to gross me out. I'm not really good with blood and gore. Now I just toss the bunny butts in a plastic bag and go about my day.

My parents ca does similar things.  They were completely grossed out when I told them if they wanted to provide their cat the best nutrition that they would put a live mouse in a running blender and pour the contents into the bowl.

 

I think that was a little too graphic for them...

OMG! That is really, really gross. The cat is bringing you his "treasures." Shudders.

I had a giant piece of carpet in my garage leading into the house to help with tracking in dirt (we're a little on the Clampett side). The cat was using it as his personal dinner table. Nasty red and brown stains all over it. So, I tossed the big carpet and just got a really small one. Now the bunnies are the tiny carpet and we all end up looking like gazelles jumping over the bunny butt when we head out to the car.

Probably looks pretty funny to the neighbors.

When I was in the Peace Corps many years ago, I had a cat that liked to eat live ****roaches. She wouldn't eat the dead ones, only the live ones. She liked to play with them, before eating them. Now, my cats are indoor and don't bring me any treasures.

I think you need an outdoor cat. It's ... fun.
