Okay. I did it. I made a plastics consult appointment.
I put on my big girl panties and made a plastics consult appointment. May 8th.
I'm shaking life a leaf, but I did it.
I realize this is no big deal to some of you, but this is a HUGE deal for me to even make the call, never mind actually book an appointment.
So, in a few weeks, I will at least know what of this is skin and what of this is weight I need to lose, if any. I should hit goal by that time unless a BIG nasty stall hits, plan is to up calories 100 or so each wee****il I stop losing.
Well, that's the plan anyway.

Good for you! Just keep telling yourself "It's just a consult" - you don't have to commit to anything. And it's a lot less stressful than I imagined. Very business-like and professional. And it was nice to hear a mostly-independent third party confirm that what I was seeing on my belly was really skin, not fat, and that it could all be removed.
I'm terrified too. I'm terrified of maintenance. I'm terrified of just about everything right now. LOL! But I need to do it and I think I can do it without Xanax (okay, maybe not, but at least make myself go). Sigh. I have 3 weeks to get it together.

I was literally terrified to go clothes shopping. Edelu told me to just go buy a thing - not an entire closet. It helped to have my daughter with me.
I wonder if the same thing would work for you in this case. This is just the first step. Merely educational. A chance to ask some questions - will the plastics do anything to help with the chronic back pain? Recover time? what parts need it the most? What parts can you live with? That sort of thing.
Taking things in parts has helped me a lot. The all-or-nothing way many of us (okay, me) think is usually what overwhelms us (me).
I'm excited for you!
Yup. Just make the phone call was the first step. LOL, but yeah. I'm not pressuring myself to do it, just looking for info for now :)
