Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Monday 4/15 - Happy Tax Day
Yay!!!! You!!! I'm so proud for you:) Thank you for sharing your journey...
157.2 I'm maintained and that's okay. This weekend, my parents came and I enjoyed family and food. Now back to my regularly scheduled program of WL mode!!
I bought my first size 12 Gap capris ( I can't remember the last time I wore size 12) from a consignment shop this weekend:) Yummy delicious to be wearing these today!!!
Have a great week everyone!
Still no weight this week, but checking in anyway to keep the rhythm.
At lunch I went for the protein - had a hamburger - split with wife who ordered the Onion soup to supplement her burger. I ate only the meat - got about 2 oz in and had to run the toilette and give it back. First time since I started this journey that i've vomitted.
I've been struggling lately to get protein (from dense sources like real meat, fish or eggs) in any quantity above 1 -2 oz. I can say that my restriction is still completely working for anything dense. I was pretty hungry this time, and the distraction of people watching in Paris must have made me take a couple large bites. At least that's my theory. But it's been happening. The good thing is that even after being ill I wasn't hungry anymore.
Quest bars are easier. I find, unfortunately, that I'm starting to gravitate toward them (and greek yogurt), as I can't seem to comfortably eat more than a couple bites of denser protein and even if i just have a bite or two, I don't feel great. It's happening so often that I'm starting to have a "learned response" to meat, fish and eggs - they make me feel bad after a couple bites, and now I'm starting to feel that way just thinking about it before the meal. Not quite sure what to do about it at this point.
Weird.

You've got your 1 yr dr visit in June. I think I'd pull that in and go early. That doesn't sound normal - the throwing up part.
I still can only comfortably handle 1-2 ounces of dense protein, but I don't feel sick with it. If I eat too many bites, or I don't chew the food well enough, I have upon occasion, gotten nauseous. But, it usually doesn't last long.
I read your post yesterday. That birthday party sounded like so much fun. What a cool party to crash.
Make an appt with the doc. Better to be proactive, imo.
Thanks - I'll monitor and see where it goes - I've got a couple weeks until I'm back to the states, so I'll ride it out for now. I can eat some things fine - just not the dense proteins for some reason. Worst case I'll eat quest bars and yogurt to get the protein.

121.5 and feeling fine about it. dh is down to 188!
slim, so hope you get the library job. and yeah it takes awhile to get over shopping anxiety but it gets better when you realize normal size stuff fits. when i shop now it seems all i can find is xx sizes and less in my size. %$%^^&&%$$$$$$%%%!!! Used to be I swear there was never anything except extra petite teenie weenie and i would search and search for that one tent sized item that was always ugly polyester. diane
yeah i am 5' 4 " but I used to sometimes get stuff in the fat petite section because if you were 250 lbs they assumed you must be 6 feet four and proportioned stuff accordingly. clothes shopping so sucks. they make it so hard. thats why i wear jeans and sweats most of the time. and why do all dressing rooms have lights that make your skin look green and mirrors that make you look fatter? seems like bad marketing. should have fun house mirrors that make you look thin. diane
I would shop more it I thought I could have a mirror that made me look 10 lbs lighter. Even the regular section "short" pants are usually too long for me.
I wear a lot of sweats and jeans, too. But, I am adding in nicer clothes for this library gig. I still have to do 2 interviews. One with the people who already work in the library - only 1 out of the 4 people doesn't like me. I think I didn't kiss her ass enough when I first started volunteering. Then I have to interview with the Principal. We shall see what happens.
