Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 4/14
154.8 - same as yesterday - major stress eating until 2am this morning though, tax season is nearly over. Forward and onward.
Working today, just exhausted at this point.
Fun morning. Had breakfast "Book club" with Cassie. We're reading a GREAT book together - opened great discussions about friendships, perceptions and relationships. It's called Flipped. -- now to work on monster invoice for a client, then my ladie's bookclub tonight. Yay!
I made the mistake of telling my daughter that we were thinking of redoing her floor and painting her room (and getting RID of the carpet - only the bedrooms are left). We went to get samples and she's been driving me nuts showing me her color scheme ideas. Oy. Thinking snap together wood flooring or tile (FIL is a tile-setter so it's in our blood around here!)

151.0 - had a successful failure last night. Friends over at my house which made it so that i could control what foods were available. I ate too many nuts, but at least it wasn't something a lot worse.
Off to look up how to get a driver's permit and driver's license for my son and myself.
Have a good day everyone!
I'm in Paris this week - no scale for a wee****il I get to India where the hotel has them.
Today, we went to what was possibly the most interesting birthday party I've ever attended. The cousin of our Paris friends, Francois and Claire turned 60 and had a party for about 40 of her closest friends plus two freeloaders from America.
The party was at her house, with a beautiful garden/backyard and the weather was perfect - mid-70s and sunny. After two hours of pleasant chat, wine, champagne and food, we were summoned out the door, and down the street to a small performance space. This was a surprise to everyone - no one knew what to expect.
There, for 90 minutes, the birthday "girl" regaled us with about 18 songs and stories from her 60 years - often about people in the audience.
Apparently she has been taking singing lessons for years. Her music teacher accompanied on piano. The show was near professional with pacing, interludes, snappy repartee etc. She's a psychologist as a career - but apparently always harbored ambitions of entertaining.
That took some serious chutzpah !
After, back to the garden for wine and cake. Maybe one of the best cakes I've ever had.
Yes, I had some damn cake.
Tomorrow I pay it back on the bike.
With interest. :)

Taxes.. then a cheap bottle of champagne.. we owed, but heck- taxes are done! I'm happier owing a little (not a lot!) than getting some back. Changed from when I was younger and looked forward to that big return.. Had a nice dinner of cornish hen, squash & broccoli.. I have a ton of tiny bird to take to work. Had a couple pieces of "legal" chocolate even (Chocoperfection bars..) Happy Sunday.
