I'm sorry you're dealing with back stuff too. Sigh, you'd think losing weight would HELP, right? ((HUGS))

It was okay. I had epidurals with both of my kids (eventually, I was one of those "tough it out until I couldn't stand it" types). It was a lot like that. He gave me happy juice, but I was awake, just a little "eh **** it" about it - which was good. I was twitching I was so nervous.
I guess the pain management folks have a lot of drug seekers, they did a urine test (and I copped to something they would find and he had no problems with it, LOL, I was worried - apparently all they care about is seeing vast amounts of RX drugs). Anyway, I laid on a table with my stomach propped up by pillows and my butt in the air and my pants down halfway on my butt, felt a few *****s, some pressure, some burning, but not a big deal. Really sore right now. Not helping yet, but he said it could take up to a week to get relief. It took like 10 minutes.
Honestly, I've been dealing with sciatica pain for years. I guess I'm pessimistic because everyone I talked to and everything I read says that it's temporary and I'll have to keep going back. So I will likely opt for surgery to just fix it and be done with it. They tried injections in my neck (well, they did it on a Friday - to appease the insurance folks - knowing it wouldn't work and that I'd have surgery on Monday) and it didn't do a damn thing - I was on so many IV pain meds while in the hospital last year, everyone was shocked I was still in so much pain.. until he got in there and saw the mess. LOL! If it works, great... but whatever, right?
Hang in there. The MRI is easy, at least! LOL

Morning all,
Didn't weigh again. Trying to stay away a bit longer. Struggling a bit with the sugary stuff while learning how to navigate maintenance, but I am still logging it and am under most days. Some scary health stuff going on with my husband, so the weekend was very quiet, hoping to hear today when tests are scheduled.
On a positive note, cold and windy today, but tomorrow 77 and Wednesday 85???? Then back to rain. Weird, but I'll take the warm days!
on 4/8/13 1:35 am - CA
100.2 lbs today.
I hope the shot gives you some relief Candy!

Hi from the cold white north. Damn snow! I am so tired of it! Its April for goodness sake!
I had a weekend like yours Mom. I'm exhausted, so very happy to get back to work.
For all of you who are dealing with pain or life cir****tances, my heart goes out to you. I hope the best for all of you. I live with chronic pain myself so I can certainly empathize with that.
168.4 today YIKES! I had a crazy weekend. I had a visit from my Mom on very short notice (2 days). She wanted to fly down here to have me help her buy a computer, and then set it up for her. So, I spent all day Friday cleaning before she arrived, and shopping after she arrived. We bought a laptop which I spent all day Saturday setting up as close as possible to her old XP computer, and then Sunday morning I had to take her to the airport to fly home. The weekend was a whirlwind, and I don't really even know what I ate. I was grazing the whole time. I need to have a few days of behaving to get the extra 2-3 lbs to go.
Anyway, enough babbling. Have a great day everyone.
I really do wish the best for you and the back situation.. I am not a person that handles being laid up well, and I'm sure you've had enough already.
First weigh in in 5+ weeks coming up Thurs.. kinda looking forward to seeing a number for my own curiosity. I have to say, the scale-break was/is liberating, as is my less nit-picky way of logging my foods.. back to paper and pen, rounding up on the cals and likely a bit down on protein. Simplifying things a bit has lightened some of the load so it seems (and my ass still fits in my jeans, so I must be doing fairly ok.)
