Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 4/7

Yep, once I almost grew up but then went into remission.  adulthood is overrated.  D

I keep thinking I should think about growing up, but then the **** bomb comes out and I think 'Well, **** guess I'll start growing up tomorrow.'

if kids say the f bomb, get mouth washed out with soap.  hmmm, wonder if soap has protein......d

i think the cold may slowly be getting better. Knock on wood.

170.2 - nice drop back to the low end of maintenance.  Big cut in sodium seems to have done the trick (damn you beef jerky!)

Completed an 85 mile bike ride today. It was pretty tough, fast paced and some nasty hills, but I was able to hang in there.  I feel prepped for my first 100 mile ride in 3 weeks now.

I got a bike!

Trek mountain bike. I. LOVE. It. LOVE!!!! My old Gary Fisher is so ridged and you have to bend over the bars - total old school. Point the bike down the hill and go fast.The new mountain bikes are much kinder to 41 yo backs and knees. Seriously thought I was gonna go hybrid, but honestly, living in Colorado, it's good to have a bike that can handle slopes and offroad. *squee*!!!!!

Cool - i like Trek bikes.  I have my 7.6 in New Jersey - hybrid - and it's what I rode 85 mi. today.  out of 150 people on the ride, I was the only one with a hybrid - everyone else had their road bikes.  The only issue I had was the steep hills, where weight really counts. The trek is a bit heavy, and I could have used the drop handlebars as I was fighting a 20-25 mph headwind for 30 miles on the return, but otherwise it performed perfectly and kept up with everyone else to the limit of my abilities.

It's a woman bike. I made them put the kick stand on, because I'm old and I HATE not having a kickstand. The stripes are actually a cream color. The saddle is cozy for my booty - very important detail. Hubby got the man version of this in lime green, but they have to order his.

I need to take it back and have them fit a little pouch on it for my extra crap and I need a water bottle holder - got so excited about it, I forgot to get those things. Geesh. Really ******g with my type-A personality not having all of handled. But, I shall take deep breaths and know that my awesome hubby will be able to add those items.
