I need to  know what kind of iron people take. I have been takng bariatric advantage chewable . they have vit C in them.

I need to order more but their shipping is ridiculous. Is there a good iron  that you can buy in a drug store? I know I have to take a

good one with c in it for better absorption.

I run low normal even taking iron. It's so constipating but I take it every day. I'd love to find one that's not constipating.

thank you!

I just take Centrum Chewables - don't know what amount of Iron is in them. I take them with a chewable vitamin c. But, I'm one of the people who likes the chewable vitamins.

Good luck.

I'm taking Bariatric Advantage chewables and am on auto-ship so there's no shipping and handling charges.  I look at the expense this way - I need to put the best possible anything into my body, so I've been sticking with Bar.Adv for almost everything.  Gives me some peace of mind.

I've been taking Proferrin. It doesn't have all the restrictions that regular Iron has with Calcuim and my blood work is much better now. Don't have the constipation issues either.

They are offering new customers a 30 day free supply. You just have to pay for shipping.

I take Ferrous Gluconate (5 gr) twice weekly. I take 500 mg vitamin C with it. My iron levels are great and I don't suffer from constipation (but I do take stool softeners, so... *****ally knows.....)

Just avoid ferrous sulfate as we don't absorb that well in our sleeves so it's wasting money. I mean we absorb more than an RnYer would but the money you save on not paying shipping is lost because you need to take more.

I get Tender Iron with C from VitaLady. I have this enormous bottle that's going to take me 3 years to finish so shipping is kind of moot. mail

Heme iron isn't constipating but it cost more. I use Proferrin for that. I also get it from VitaLady. LOL But I'm doing the Tender Iron now instead because it seems to work better to raise my ferritin.

I just switched to Floradix tablets which I found in my local health food store. It doesn't contain as much iron as what I was taking before, but is supposed to be much more absorbable. Here's a link with more info about it: http://www.nationalnutrition.ca/detail.aspx?ID=1269
