Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 3/17
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Still thinking of you, mom. xoxo
Dare I ask... what's your favorite GREEN thing?
Money is mine. *laughing* - okay, the other is palm trees. It always reminds me of the beach. I grew up in Charleston and moved to Honolulu where we spent several years, so the beach has always been a happy place for me. I miss it living in land-locked Austin, but any time I see a palm tree it transports me back to sitting on the beach, listening to the waves and smelling the warm salt air. Ahhhh...
159.8 - and the yo-yo continues.
I realized that when I "eat crap" it's still decent stuff, went out with a girlfriend to cheesecake factory and and had tuna tartare with avocado. The surprising thing was how many calories was in the half of a piece of lime cheesecake I ate though - holy crap. Tons better than I would have eaten two years ago, especially because I'm all PMSy right now. What's interesting is that I still got through the day under 1500 calories. LOL. I'll call it practicing for maintenance ;)
Horrible dreams last night - woke up PISSED with the husband until I realized it was a dream. LOL! Guess that cheesecake wasn't a great idea after all ;)

5'6" / HW 375 / SW 355 / CW 150 / Maintaining 155-159 - Goal Reached! 225 Pounds Lost
175.6 today.
My favorite green thing? Fresh mowed grass in my lawn. That or my new extra slim fit shirt!
Last night DH and I decided to go out dancing after he got off work on the spur of the moment. I was feeling really good about myself, confident. It was my first time in a bar with the new body and gave me a chance to feel like I was showing off a little bit. I was able to navigate the crowd and not get "THAT LOOK" when you brush by people. I got to finally do a few of the old gay bar moves that I never had the nerve to try before - the butt pop (where you lean against a bar in a way to highlight your ASSets), fly fishing (hanging your hands through your belt loops so that your hands frame the package), etc. It was fun. The best thing was just dancing with Thomas, not being uncomfortable or drenched in sweat, not being embarrassed.
I found out that I am a serious light weight in the drinking department. I had my first drink since surgery. I ordered a scotch neat. I was buzzing from practically the first taste. Of course I logged in on MFP, LOL. Yes, I can get drunk on a 6 dollar drink.

150.4 - don't know - Probably not enough protein which is weird for me, but I was nursing a lower back problem. felt nauseous from the pain last night. Better today. I WILL stay in karate. WILL!!!
I went shopping yesterday. I'm still hyperventilating over it. For those of you who bother to read my posts, you know that shopping has been a major problem for me. Everything was on sale-maybe that helped. I bought 3 - yes 3 pairs of pants (dark purple, light salmon and beige), 1 shirt, and a really cute sleeveless dress (Petite medium - *Squeeeee!!*). Oh and I bought a pair of butt floss. I know, TMI, but the pants looked terrible with my granny panties.
I'm still having issues with shirts. I don't understand why everything is baggy and frumpy. I wore frumpy **** for 20 years. Now I want to tuck stuff in and wear a belt, but there's nothing like that out there. Granted, I've only made it through one store so far, but still - WTF???
Anyway, I have enough now to get to me to goal, which I have recommitted to over this weekend.
My favorite green thing is the sweatshirt I am wearing today - yes, I will wear it to church. Take that old ladies that give me dirty looks for not dressing up for church! The sweat shirt will be 18 years old in May. I bought it while on my honeymoon in New Zealand.
I sometimes exclaim when shopping - How could I lose 170 lbs to become hard to fit!
I was looking for white jeans yesterday. I really wanted this pair at G by Guess. Not one store in my area had them in my size. I wound up finding a pair by Buffalo at Off Fifth.
Shocker - I am now wearing the most popular size for men.
Good luck finding the shirts you want. I am sure you will find what you want in time.

Yes, it doesn't help that I am now between sizes. I have problems with buying anything. I usually go into the store, walk around and then leave with nothing. I kind of lose it in the store and start talking to myself like some transient. It isn't pretty.
I H.A.T.E. the shirts that are out there right now. I'm going to have to look at other stores.
But, I really don't want to buy anything else until I reach my goal weight.
I may have to buy a few things for summer - we'll see.

Morning everyone:
160.1 so .1 above goal.
Congrats to all of you who are getting into new clothing size! It feels good doesn't it.
Mom, hope that all is as well as can be expected with you and yours.
Colour green: Ferns are my favourite. I live in the rain forest in British Columbia and never tire of looking at them under the big cedar and fir trees that border the house.
Having said that the sun is shining and I think that this is the first time in about three weeks. Rain is the norm in fall, winter and early spring. After awhile you don't even notice it.

My favorite green things are....well...I can't really think of anything right now.
It's very surreal trying to find clothes in my size. Because of vanity sizing, it's next to impossible find something that fits me well. Very few lines offer "0-0 Petite," and I can only take so much of Banana Republic before I begin to feel like a corporate drone. What makes this surreal is that pre-op, I couldn't find anything that fit either because very few lines carried "Petite-Plus." I thought I'd be better off after surgery, but I guess I was wrong. Still, I love my sleeve!
100.4 lbs today.
