Daily Maintenance Weigh in on Wednesday March 13th
on 3/12/13 10:51 pm
Morning everyone:
Goodness. I am up another 2 pounds! But have found the culprit. SALT.
Normally I prepare all my food from scratch but was hungering for curry and purchased some bottled sauce.
Thought had read all the ingredients, but today, re-read the label and there it is! Salt, salt, salt. Have just finished rinsing the sauce off. Don't know why have been so slow on the uptake as also have had one of those in-the-background-headaches - that I usually get with salt overdoses.
Live and learn.
So am up to 163.1 Three pounds above goal.
Today is water water water water water.
175 - ouch
Travel day yesterday - up at 3.30am, for a 6am flight. Lots of sodium (almonds and jerky on the run).
I'm sure it will flush out quickly.
No work out Monday (planned day off) and only a light workout last night (also planned - this is a "recovery week") so the usual purge water through sweating isn't counteracting the sodium...
Still, hurts to see the scale jump 3 lbs in one day.
Heaviest: 313/VSG Pre: 295/Surgery: 260/Maintenance target:190 - Recent: 195 (08/15/19)
1st 2015&2016 12-Hour Time Trial UMCA 50-59 Age Group
1st 2017 Race Across the West 4-Person 50-59 Age Group
4th 2019 Race Across America 8 Person Team
159.2 this morning, so .2 down. Still surprised I haven't floated back up over 160 yet. That's the usual pattern. Even after a skinny margarita - with salt - last night. Hey, I'll take it.
Today, we're heading to be extras in a small indie music video. Excited, we get to be survivors rescued from the zombie apopolacapyse (I can't spell, haven't finished my coffee) - NO WAY I would have done this 2 years ago. LOL

Woohoo, sounds like a blast. So you're not a zombie, you just survived them?
What is WITH the zombie apocalypse lately, anyway? It's like the middle ages reborn or something.

I dunno, but the correct response when someone mentions zombies is "Brraaiiiinnnsss"
LOL. The song is actually about a post apocalyptic world. Who knows. It's kind of a favor for my casting director friend here in Austin. The kids are excited... because, ya know... zombies. Hopefully we'll make the final cut so I can share :)

151.2 - up 2 lls as well
Yesterday was my first day back at karate after a neck injury (no biggy, just had to give is a little time to calm down).
I feel the puffy. And, my muscles are screaming at me.
Hubby found out that his contract is funded through the end of April if nothing is done with the sequestor crapola. What a ******
I'm off to volunteer at the Library.
Sorry I'm late. Hubs had to go to urgent care (he'll be fine).
Sodium is a killer, and it lurks everywhere - in places you'd never expect to find it.
Thanks for posting, appleofmyeye!
