VSG Maintenance Group
XPost - 2 Years!!! My, how time flies!
Does that mean I actually gain "Vet" status? LOL! Well, it's actually been two years and three months, so I'm a little late on this. I'm happily staying in my target weight range. I've learned that in maintenance, if the weight starts to climb, you've got to go back into weight loss mode. This is the only way to keep it where you want it. I still weigh every day and I still log all my food into FatSecret. I MUST stay vigilant, or it could all be for naught! Let me tell you something about that though - it's not hard to do! I spent a year in weight loss mode and it's very clear to me what I was eating, and what I was not eating....soooooo, I just eat at my weight loss level until I'm back where I want to be. Simple, right?
I've lurked here for the past few months, but not participated as much as I have in the past. because I've been extremely busy working on a project. I decided to write a book about my personal experience with the Sleeve and share all the wonderful advice I learned on this site as well as my own personal insight and challenges that I faced during my journey. My goal is to motivate those who don't think they can do this and inform those that don't get enough information from their surgical team. If you are considering this surgery or are a newbie with lots of questions, please check out my website at www.sleevedforlife.com and pick up a copy. I think you'll be glad that you did.
Deciding to have this surgery was the best personal decision I ever made. It has given me strength to know that I can finally conquer this obesity demon. It has given me energy (and new clothes - woo hoo!) and it has given me my life back. If you are on the fence about this, I say "Just do it!" Happy Journey everyone!
Below you will see the obligatory before/after pix. I could not be happier with my results!
Take Care All!

It's a never ending battle, isn't it? I look at it like laundry or doing the dishes...you just have to keep after it in order to keep up. Thanks for your words of wisdom over these past couple of years. You have been an inspiration to me. Hugs!
