And so ends February....

Today's weight 137.2 and puffy again. Why the puffy / not puffy / puffy / not puffy thing lately I haven't figure out. It doesn't bother me from a weight perspective because water isn't fat. I just hate being puffy.

I am thinking of taking tap dance classes next fall, something I'd never have dreamed of doing 180 lbs ago!

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

Mom,
I am amazed by the people (especially women) that wake up and weigh the exact same thing every day. Salt gets me and i know this insanity workout is going to cause me to retain fluid as I build up muscle.

Started reading a new book by a NY Times author - Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us. Fascinating.

Fun fact: 1/2 cup of Prego sauce contains same amount of sugar as three oreo cookies.

What's sad is the first thing I thought was "I'll take the cookies." Then I started craving Oreos and I don't even like them. What the hell? The mind games just never end for me.

I really liked that book.  Really opens up your eyes.  I was also able to use some of their tricks in reverse and figure out what I should be eating instead.  For example, increasing strong flavors and spices in my foods is really helping me to decrease my cravings and portion sizes.

I was waiting for this one.  I bet I was the first one to get a copy.  :)

148.6 - same as yesterday, which gives me a tiny spark of hope that tomorrow will be lower. After shoveling snow and a very hard workout at karate yesterday, I'd usually gain 1-2 lbs.

Off to a wild crazy busy day.

Tap dancing sounds like fun, Mom!
