Daily Maintenance Weigh In - TGIF 2/22
Good morning!
Today's weight: 136.2
I've looked at my weight chart and I've spent the last 2.5 months doing this: between 134 and 139 lbs. So even though I'm a little on the low side, I am officially calling it: I have stopped losing weight and am in a maintenance mode. Woohoo!!!
Weekend plans: Nothing but rest my shoulder. I have put my left arm in a sling; I keep hurting my shoulder by doing reaching with that arm without thinking about it (I'm left handed) and I was told specifically NOT to do that. The sling is the only way I can figure out to force myself to keep that arm down. Even closing the car door or reaching over my shoulder for the seat belt with my left arm are out, and it's hard to be conscious of it all the time.

Good morning all:
Rest is the only thing but as you say the learning curve to adapt to other ways of doing things is sometimes accompanied by jarring pain as
you remember what you are not supposed to be doing.
Down to .5 above goal so at 160.5. Still eating clean and mean.
I liked Frisco's message. Keeping a record of the weight and when the slip comes correct it immediately. The new way of life.
178.0
Getting ready for my trip next week.
MOM - Take care of that shoulder and thats an order. If you don't several of us will have to show up and hold you down and make you rest. I would threaten to sit on you, but thats not nearly the threat it used to be and you could probably kick my butt anyways, LOL.

Sigh. I remember when I could read library books. I miss being able to go and just browse randomly through the shelves looking for something to read. Gotta have large print now, which effectively means e-books since with them every book is large print. My library has just introduced check-out e-books. Selection is slim right now but they add new titles monthly. I imagine in a year or two it will be back to browsing the library for me.

I just started volunteering at the high school. My second day there, they asked me if I'd be interested in a job next year because one of the employees is retiring next year. Uh...YES!
I won't know if I have the job until April/May. I still have to apply and everything. But, they are treating me like the job is mine.
The library job works perfectly. I can still do my business which is my true love, but doesn't make a lot of money, and still be on my kids' schedule.
For now, I volunteer and if I don't get the job, I keep volunteering.
It's a win, win.
I like what your library is doing. I'm seeing more and more of them go the ebook route. It's the way of the future, imo. Our kids are reading entire books on their cell phones and iPods.
I love my Nook, but I want a Kindle, too. Greedy me.
Take care of that shoulder.

Happy Friday! Mom, you've heard it from everyone else, but I'll add my two cents worth. Take care of that shoulder. If that means taking a little time off work, you need to do it.
157.6 today which is okay.
I can hardly stand working today. I am fortunate to have a big beautiful window in my office and the sun in pouring in. 65 today. I want to be outside!
