Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Wednesday 2/20
Good morning!
179.7 this morning. Day 2 of the low fiber diet. I am going to whine just a little bit here. As I don't want to overdo it on carbs, my choices have been somewhat limited, so I'm muddling through. I was practically drooling over everyone's salad at supper last night! LOL Only one more day and then I get to drink 1 1/2 gallons of sludge - oh joy! I don't know why this gastro practice insists on that prep instead of the 1-2 small bottles that can be mixed. Oh well I had a good friend who died of colar-rectal (sp?) cancer 9 years ago, so I know what I'm doing is worth it. I just wanted to complain! :)
On a positive note, we dodged a fairly good sized snow storm last night and got only rain. Today will be in the upper 30's, so even more snow will melt. They say one of the early signs that spring is coming is pets shedding, and our little Sammy has been shedding like mad! So there is hope! Have a good day all!

Morning all:
Mom: When I went through peri-menopause, ( back when the earth was flat ) it was a true roller coaster ride. I don't remember the puffiness but I DO remember the overwhelming weariness, mood swings and thinking that was going to lose my mind. Interesting to say the least. Hopefully you won't have to go through all of that. ( sorry for being so cheery first thing in the morning )
Down to 161.4. Anything down is good.
More clean eating and lots of walking today.
Cold here, just above freezing.
SPRING please come and soon.
Diane: Congratulations to your husband.
So the weariness is normal? Thank goodness. I have some days (not all, just some) where I seem to be totally sapped of energy. And my brain is a little foggy sometimes. It's really a pain. Swelling down some today; I don't mind the scale number as I am actually below where I want to be, but I'd rather be too skinny than have my fingers and ankles puffed and swollen with fluid.

Thank you! The last couple of months, I veered from some of my good habits and as a result, I started seeing some weight creep. I was up to 112-114, instead of 110 or lower. I started tracking again, dropped some bad habits (protein bars, sugar-free Popsicles, etc.), went back to daily weighing, and kicked up my exercise regime ( I had reduced the number of hours per week). My trainer made some significant tweaks in my routine and I made the nutritional changes that needed to be made. Feels good to be back on track again.

At some point, I'm sure that I too will veer off the healthy path (I'm only 14 months out so it's still easy to be good). When it happens, I hope that I can catch it as quick and as efficiently has you have. I'm glad you're back on board!
