Will be so glad to have this race behind me and get back to some type of routine. That being said I will still be training for some runs in the future buy my next half marathon isn't until August.  Time to get my knee acting right and to get off these NSAIDs.

Hi  to all. I haven't posted in about 5 months. Just wanted to say, "Hi."

Today, my weight is 111.6 lbs., which is a few lbs down from  a few weeks ago. Life happens and some good habits went by the wayside for awhile. I am back on track and back to tracking and regular exercise. The lessons in this are many, but maintaining will be a life long journey and the VSG is just a tool that helps to level the playing field. Most people have to exercise and and monitor their food intake to maintain a healthy weight. I see them at the gym everyday.

If I stick to dense protein and follow the rules, my weight remains stable. It isn't an extra ounce of protein that  causes problems, but rather all the extraneous stuff that causes weight gain.

I am working on reaching 110 and a bit lower, to be where I had been, for the past couple of years.  I am almost there.

- back from New York - crossed paths with spouse over Wisconsin somewhere as she headed to NYC with a friend to spend the weekend going to museums.

I'm home - gonna putter around this weekend.

Took my first cycling workout class lastnight. Very intense.  Most of the rest of the class training for an ironman competition.

Eating a bit off plan today, but heading downstairs to work it all off right now.  I'll log some easy miles today and work up to a big day Sunday - I'm trying to do 3+ hours on the bike one day per week to build up stamina for a Century ride this summer.

Hey, we had some big meeting at work and people came from all the different offices. One of them told me "Every time I see you, you're smaller!"

No one has said that to me in YEARS. I have lost some weight since my big high after I had to stop exercising but it's only about 5 pounds since he last saw me!

Lost it yesterday with 8 ( count em ) 8 cookies.   For no good reason.  The person who shares the kitchen had them and before I knew it they were in my mouth.  Of course, because I don't normally eat sugar went to sleep immediately.

Back on plan today after seeing a 3 pound jump ( upwards of course ) on the scale.

This is a life long thing isn't it.  ( yes, that delicious red velvet cake would have me under the table but screaming for more )
