Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday 2/12

Good morning. Playing hooky from work today (actually, I took a vacation day). Hubs workshop was supposed to be built yesterday but they didn't show up until around noon so they didn't get it done. Hubs just started a new job so he couldn't take another day off, leaving me to supervise today.

Today's weight 136.8. Don't know what yesterday's 138 was about, as I was only up for one day. Fluid, I reckon, but I looked at sodium the day before and it was pretty low. Meh. Who knows.

I am on the go a lot and am trying to find some snacks that work. I work from home and do well there, but when I'm out, I tend to struggle with finding foods that fit. Nuts are not a trigger for me, so I've been using them. Protein bars are a major trigger. I may start taking a bag of veggies with me.

Hi - I don't know how strict you are on carbs, but I often take 1/2 serve of ak-mak crackers which are whole grain and low in calories and a piece of string cheese or other cheese. The two together are really satisfying for me.

I wish I could do crackers, but carbs are my mortal enemy. I seem to be fine with veggie-type carbs. I do okay with Quest bars too, because I don't really like them all that much. but, they tend to trigger me wanting the other kinds of protein bars that were my personal crack for months (Oh protein bar wafers. Warning - stay away from them).

I thought about beef jerky, but the sodium usually gets me.

I'll keep searching.

180.2 this morning.  Between eating richer foods on my birthday and no morning constitutional yet today (sorry if TMI!), I figured today's weight would be on the upper end.  All is good, though.  I had a great birthday.  We ate at our favorite place and went to see "Silver LInings Playbook" and enjoyed both thoroughly.  Today is back to work and my regular eating routine.  I haven't bought nuts in about a week and all is good there.
