Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 2/9
Good morning. Happy Sunday.
Today's weight 136.6
Well our weekend went a bit walkabout yesterday. Monday building was scheduled to start on my husband's workshop on our land. Yesterday morning we got a call out of the blue from a truck to deliver some of the lumber - he was close by and needed directions. We are 45 minutes a way so we couldn't be there when they unloaded, and the put the bundles at the front of the land where anyone could drive by and help themselves.
So we spent yesterday afternoon loading about 1 1/2 tons of wood on a trailer a few pieces at a time to move to the back of the lot where it wasn't visible from the road. We just parked the trailer still attached to the truck so hubs can just pull it up Monday.
I sure didn't need to work out after that, I promise!

Sounds like a fun day :)
171.5 today
Threw a small dinner party last night for 2 other couples that have been to France a lot. I made Coq au Vin and we had a nice cheese fondue as well. I planned my day to include lots of exercise so I could have some dessert - which was brought in by one of the couples from the best patisserie in the Twin Cities... It worked pretty well. I caught myself grazing a couple times while cooking, but kept it minimal overall. The fondue was carb friendly as was the chicken, so other than a few fly-by grazing incidents all I had was the dessert, which I'd planned for.
Still, I was expecting the scale to go up today as it seems to whenever i go near a carb.. but no, it dropped a bit... so hurray.
Supposed to get nasty winter weather here today, but I'm flying out late this afternoon to NJ into the remainder of their nasty weather. Ugh. It's been an ugly winter so far.

Morning all.
Down.1 LOL. Every bit counts
Measured myself yesterday. From the start of this journey when I started the pre-op diet have lost a total of 49 inches in 19 months. AND if had been faithful to going to the gym instead of just the walking perhaps the area from the groin up would be trimmer.
Oh well.
Walked up a hill that had not done before ( our community is nothing but hills and you grade them by not-so-bad, bad, goodness gracious, and there-is-no-way-I-can-do-that.) But I did. Yay. And was only puffing and huffing a bit.
Keep warm,

99.6 lbs today, and aching from climbing hard at the gym yesterday. Can't wait to do that all over again!
P.S.
Happy Chinese New Year to all!

Hi all,
i am really puzzled by how my weight is bouncing up and down. Yesterday morning I was 164.0 and then this morning I was up to 166.2. The day before yesterday I was at 165.6. I am not sure that I have seen my weight swing so drastically since I had my surgery and I don't understand what is causing this. Ideas anyone?
I do this a lot. I have big swings, and sometimes I can pinpoint it to sodium, lack of moving (pinned to the desk on some project) or my cycle.. and recently my cycles have been swinging erratically, and getting some serious swelling issues before and during them. I tend to keep the carbs to a steady number, but when I do have a high day- a few days/next day later there will be a fast bump up and a slow decline after a few days (water gains/sheds).. still learning to accept those bumps up though..
Having the weight swings here too- and in the wrong direction, and this recent one is much to do with too much fun over the weekend/last night. Up over a lb overnight to 143.8 adding to the prev 4lb overnight jump earlier this week.. and still late on my cycle, but having every other annoying symptom. Ugh. I can sort of understand the urge just to skip the scale when I feel like this till I start down the other way..
127. If it sticks, that means I'm going down.
Since I ate 250 calories more than I burned yesterday, I should be screaming about starvation mode and how, if you don't lose, you need to eat more! But I know better. I know it's just a coincidence and the results of eating 200-250 calories less than 1 burned for 2 weeks finally showing up on the scale.
