VSG Maintenance Group
Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Friday 2/8
Good morning!
Today's weight 136.6. Up 1.6 from yesterday but I'm bloated so there's that. We'll see. Still dreaming of getting back to 140 some day.
Weekend plans - getting land ready for the wood shop to be built starting Monday. Plus grocery shopping. How about you?
Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
Howdy!
172.6 - bounce up - middle of maintenance range.
I felt like my large shirt was feeling pretty voluminous yesterday so I went down to our company storage area and dug through our out of date company shirts - we give a lot of swag away to our customers and we had some leftovers that have gone out of style... I found a nice long-sleeve dress shirt with our logo, size Medium - and dang if it didn't fit. I grabbed a windbreaker in Size M and it fits as well.
So, I guess even though the scale has been in a definite couple pound range for 2 months, my body composition continues to shift. Cycling training may have shifted more weight (muscular) to my legs - especially thighs - and away from my upper body...
This is good. I'm fine with my weight - in terms of "pounds" and happy if my overall size continue to shrink a bit to fit into a comfortable medium.
Side note: I think I could have fit into a M earlier, but I feel like my rib cage was very distended from so much internal fat over the years. I think Rob mentioned this as well. I'm hoping that subsides a bit as one or two of my lower ribs kind of stick out and actually can become uncomfortable once in a while. Think of a side of beef hanging from a hook... has anyone else had this distended situation ? Did it go away over time?

Good morning all! It's already started to snow up here, where we will have a blizzard warning that starts later today. I'm at work to tie up loose ends, as I'm off on Monday (my birthday and our agency gives us our birthdays as an extra holiday). I am going home in a little while, though, as the roads are starting to get slick.
178.7 this morning - continuing to go in the right direction. I am once again committing to not buying nuts and logging. I really need to make the commitment on the nuts, as I will be stopping at the store to pick up a few things for the weekend. Bad storms, and knowing we'll be housebound for awhile triggers wanting to buy lots of treats. I will probably get some stuff for the rest of the family, but not things I eat, and I should be fine. The nuts are another story, so I'm staying clear of them! All of you in the big storm areas, stay safe and warm!
175.6
All of my friends in the Northeast - TAKRE CARE OF YOURSElf this weekend!
Turns out DH has a weekend off - so we are thinking of heading up to the mountains - Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Seveirville. My family hails from that area so it will be nice to be back in the area of my roots and share that with DH.

Good Morning,
157.0 today. Good with that. Everyone in the blizzard zone, be careful and try to stay warm!
Weekend to include a long walk, gym on Sunday, and getting ready for a mini trip with a friend, leaving on Wednesday.
Do any of you still have issues with sleep? I stooped my Cpap 5 months ago and have been fine, but lately waking at 2 or 3 am and then unable to get back to sleep. I do have lots going on so the brain starts racing. My sleep dr. told me after I had stopped the Cpap that I should have another sleep test. I don't want to, because I don't ever want to see that thing again!!

99.2 lbs again today. It's been a hard week so I'm glad it's almost over.
