Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Wednesday 2/6
180.4 this morning. I am not happy with my weight. I stayed away from the nuts yesterday, as I committed to. My guess is that I am just plain old having too many calories. Today I am logging what I eat. I've been winging it, and taking liberties, so obviously I'm going over what I should be having. I will commit to not buying nuts today, and to log everything.
Cold again this morning and it's supposed to dip below 0 tonight and be very cold tomorrow. The good news is, when I leave work now at 5pm, it's still light out - yea!!!!
I love nuts and can graze on them endlessly if I let myself. Its horrible that something so tasty and crunchy has to have so many calories isn't it? What I do is buy the Emerald 100 calorie packs and commit to only eating what I plan for in my journal. I may, for example, take a 100 calorie pack of the Cinnamon roast almonds, rough chop them and add them to my greek yogurt in the morning. I may have them as just a snack.
You have the correct approach, back to basics and log it before it goes in your mouth. Good job getting back on the logging commitment.

Thanks Rob! It is horrible that something that tastes so good, and also supplies good protein and other nutrients has to be packed with so many calories and fat. I have been so hungry today. I think part, at least, is head hunger, as I certainly have had plenty to eat. I think with getting back to logging, and being more mindful of what I'm actually taking in for calories, etc., has me so focused on food, that all I want to do is eat. I know these feelings will pass. I've been drinking lots - I'm up to 88 oz and it's only 4:45pm. I've taken so many trips to the bathroom, I should just move in there! :) As far as the nuts go, I can handle a sprinkle in my greek yogurt, or a finite amount if that's all there is. I just can't get a can or a bag from the bulk foods, as I just keep eating them. Maybe, once I get past the initial cravings, I'll try the 100 calorie packs. Thanks for the tip, and the support.

Looks good outside but its only 34 degrees.
Made some delicious chicken burgers last night with zucchini fries. Marinated the chicken for hours in a sauce I made from scratch with roma tomatoes, 6 cloves of garlic, onion, malt vinegar, fennel, raisins, orange zest, chilli powder.
served on a pretzel roll.
Yum.
Total meal - 500 calories, 34 g of protein.
