Good Restriction
on 2/6/13 1:16 am - CA
I'm only about 13 months out so take this with a grain of salt. When I get the evening munchies, I try to see to it that dinner is primarily a dense protein. Lately, I've taken a liking to tilapia fillets or lamb burgers. I fry them - which isn't optimal, I know - but they seem to do the trick. Because these things fill me up so completely, I lose the inclination to snack.
Just a thought. Good luck to you!

I guess I'm confused?
You talk about restriction in the AM, but hunger in the PM - I guess I see those as independent things? Do you mean you just get hungrier in the evening?
yes hungry in the evening.

I have protein hot chocolate at night. It's only about 60 calories and it seems to stop the munchies in their tracks.

Like Ruggie I'm a bit confused. It sounds like you mean you get night time munchies. I do in the winter, just want to eat and sleep.
I drink more water, do 50 squats, brush my teeth, go clean something-basically I try to distract myself.
I do have a larger sleeve and I've discovered I can eat more than I'd like so I still use small plates and bowls. I never eat portions that are bigger than the palm of my hand.

I buy it at one of 3 places:

It's called Healthwise or Healthsmart (depending on where you get it). It uses whey and soy protein and it's a lot easier to make without clumping than trying to add protein powder to regular hot chocolate IME.
