Nexium

I am nearly 5 years out VSG....and did not take a nexium this morning because I ran out. Been to the drug store and picked up a refill. However, I have been sick all day !!! Vsgers.  -- do you all have this issue without nexium ?

The only thing that notice (not surprising) is an increase in GERD when I forget it.  Hope you feel better soon!

Yes, still cursed with my GERD!!! 2 a day 20mg of Pariet !

I haven't been on a PPI since about 2 years out.

There is some bad stomach flu going around -- maybe you got that.

Thanks guys.  I feel better today.

I haven't taken a PPI since 6 months post op.  Since then, the most I've needed is a very rare tums.

2+ years out and I still have to take a PPI everyday or I have horrid acid by the afternoon. It's usually not an inconvenience to take it unless I'm out of my routine. I never had acid before surgery, but it's a small price to pay.
