Daily Maintenance Weigh In - TGIF 2/1
Good morning and happy February. Detoxing from steroids but still not weighing until 2/6.
Reading another post in this group today made me realize how important it is that we have others who are dealing with the same issues to bounce ideas off, ask questions or just vent to. Thank you all for being here.
How goes today?
Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
Home from a week in Vegas. Ugh. I hate that place. Nowhere, it seems to me, is so transparently about, and designed specifically to, vaccuum every cent out of your wallet in the most soul-less and phony ways possible.
The food is hard to resist, especially when you do 12 client breakfast, lunch and dinners in a row. But, thankfully, unlike years past, my weight didn't change too much.
173.7 - higher than I like but reasonable given the schedule, the inability to excercise and food availablilty.
On the plus side, i was able to rent a bike on Sunday and do a 50 mile ride around Red Rocks canyon, which was great.
Back to my regularly scheduled diet!

Yeah, I've been to Vegas twice and it seems like such a soulless tacky place. I don't see the attraction, but everyone is different.
The ride sounds fabulous.

Happy Friday,
159.0 today, top of my range, and I know why! I posted a long dialog of my difficult week and my fall into cookies and then binging on brownies. A first in the 14 months since my surgery. I received some very honest, caring, and supportive posts and I listened. I too love this board and MFP!
Everyone enjoy your day - 68 here today!!!!

Good morning all!
I think Vegas' only redeeming area is Red Rock Canyon. I've done some rock climbing there and it was incredible! The other good thing is access to inexpensive hotel rooms, so I can climb AND avoid camping at the same time (not that I don't like camping, but when you're filthy from climbing, a hot shower is really worth the money!). Oh, and the Whole Foods near the entrance to Red Rock isn't bad either. Everything else is pretty awful, I agree.
99 lbs today. Moving on up! Thanks for helping me think things through yesterday, Mom!

179.5 today I'm home right now, having picked up a sick kid. DH is coming home in about an hour so I can go to my two appts scheduled this afternoon.
I've never been to Las Vegas. My brother, who last I knew was a compulsive gambler, with some mental health issues, has lived there for years. He was in Atlantic City prior. I know what that lure has done to my brother, at least in the past, so it has no appeal to me.
178.8
Holding Steady. Hoping to go star gazing with DH tonight.
I too am glad that I have everyone here and in my IRL support groups to discuss things with. It was funny last week. I mentioned going up a few pounds in group. One of the members said he was shocked because he thought I always did everything right.
I only wish that was true!
