Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday 1/31
Good morning. Last dose of Prednisone today (hooray!), hubs informs me that I can have the scale back in a week.
Huge temperature drop overnight and back to winter time here unfortunately.
How 'bout you?
Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
Good morning 131 lbs. That is low for me.
With my new desk job I was worried about gaining. Instead I'm dropping. I think it's because of the newness. I'm burning calories thinking just over thinking things. :).
Have a great day!

178.8 this morning - had puffy ankles last night, but lots of fluid and not having as much salt helped to take care of it.
We still have the higher temps, but they will plummet from the upper 50's to the 30's as the day goes on. Very high winds and rain made the drive to work slow and interesting. About 13 or 14 miles of my drive is highway, and everyone was going around 60 mph or less. We will be back to winter by tonight
Hope no one was affected by the tornadoes in the South yesterday.

178.8 Today.
Ugh - Norovirus is back it seems. Already three trips to the "Necessarium" this morning. NO fevers, chills, or cramps yet so maybe my body is still fighting it off. I do not want to feel like I did last week.
It was a nice night when DH and I went for a walk with our laptops down to Panera last night, but freezing on the way back. Sunny here but low temps. I'm ready for spring to be back.

So it appears that post-op, I lose weight when I'm stressed. I seem to clench up around myself, making the process of eating difficult. Pre-op, it was just the opposite. I used food to medicate and take away my feelings. But now, despite my best efforts at feeding myself to stop the downward trend of my weight loss, I keep losing. I have been eating high-fat, non-triggery foods like avocados, peanut butter, lamb burgers with cheese, but I either end up maintaining or losing.
For those of you who are further out than I am (I'm about 13 months out from surgery), did the weight loss just stop eventually? Or did you have to make an effort to make it stop? If you did have to make that effort, can you tell me how you did it? I'm really coming to wits end here.
I am 98.8 lbs this morning. This is a red line for me.
Thanks all!
Fiona
